I came to the same conclusion looking at QCs :)

Have you done tungsten builds? I'm trying to get some first hand reviews on the options available atm.

I put this thread together, but not much "user experience" https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/daytona-full-tungsten-case.10999844/page-4
Bear in mind tungsten will still fall short out of platinum weight by about 60g.

I had a build with the old case, rehaut and brushing was pretty bad but with last versión that seems solved.

Here is a pic of my gen in case it helps you with dial options

I haven't yet, I think I may venture into tungsten builds eventually, but I've held off as until very recently, I didn't feel that the quality of the tungsten cases was there just yet (when compared to say a standard CF or BTF case.

I've always felt that the accuracy of the case, the standard of the rehault and the longevity of the plating (less important for WG models) were more important than the weight, although there have been a few QCs of tungsten case sets floating around recently that seem to address some of my concerns.

As with most things in life, it's often better to let a new product/technology mature before jumping on the bandwagon, wait for the teething issues to be resolved and the quality to improve. I need to do some more research into the latest versions of the Tungsten cases before I decide if now is the time to do a build with the set.

I'm glad to hear people are experiencing improvements to the quality of these tungsten case/bracelet sets. That seems to be the consensus right now, that they were bad at the start but have improved quite a bit.

That is a good looking watch :)

For now I can live with the minus 60 grams, 220 is still a pretty good weight over the SS 140

Same her bud, I’ve been itching to do WG & Plat builds for the last couple of years :)

Have a look at the case I but up in my tungsten tread, imo, rehaut, case shape etc looks pretty damn good

@KruisingKhaos95 sir, I'm about to build a Grossular or Sodalite dial. May I inquire exactly which factories produce those dials for you? Thank you sir.
