This sound like when they relied your email, they didn't check with factory. Pure Laziness.

I can't recommend Puretime, I have loose hundreds of dollars because of them!
do not know what is honesty ... I have dozens of emails as proof to what I say.
no coincidence that the head of billing has changed, isn't Jennyfer now.

Yes! +10000! Ryan rulez! :)

I had exactly the same issue with Puretime. I took me over a month to get my money back since it was CNY period.
I think it's typical. Yes the watch is in stock. And then Sorry, please choose another watch.
That's why I also don't recommend them.

It takes them forever to answer my emails. Problem is, I want Ulysse Maxi Marine and there are not many TDs who have these...

I'm kind of in the same boat with PT. I ordered a PAM441 on 6/9/13. Submitted my WU payment on 6/13/13 mere minutes after receiving instructions which was soon followed by a payment receipt confirmation email. I haven't heard one word from them since then.

This is my first purchase with them after finding RWI. I have made other rep purchases in the past, which went smoothly and never this long between communications.

I hate the fact that this is my first message on this forum, but I'm having the exact problem. I ordered a Submariner that was supposed to be a special surprise gift for my husband. Not an uncommon one either, and I emailed them prior to the payment being sent. Yes, the watch is in stock, Shuang wrote back.
Now I'm getting the runaround from them about having to choose another watch. I wrote them that NO, I don't want another watch, this was the only one I wanted.

3 full emails back and forth with billing this evening, and they still haven't refunded me yet.

I know I'm sounding like a newbie here (because I am), but are they going to keep my money?? I thought this was a legitimate site, and I paid through Paypal, through which issuing a refund is brainless and easy -- are they going to steal my payment? It was almost $400 and I am really upset right now.

Personally I like PureTime. Just got an awesome watch from them, no problems, and runs like a top. IF the stock is low, but it's there, and there's a delay in responding or placing an order and someone else or two purchase it in between, you can't necessarily blame the TD for it.

It's like calling a store and asking if they have your favorite 8" pump in size 13 in stock. Then going to the store the next day only to find out it's been sold. Frustrating yes, but just because we ask if something is in stock doesn't mean they are going to hold it or pick it up from the factory because you might purchase it.

Not the same AT ALL.
If you call a store, confirm that an item is in stock and make a payment over the phone, they will hold that item for you.
Here we are borderline dishonest and I think TDs should be more transparent about their practice and stock policy.

If they said "I cannot guarantee immediate stock", ok, I know what to expect and can make an informed decision.

But confirming that it's in stock, then asking you to select a different item AFTER you send money, risks sounding like a fishing scam!

A quick update -- still NO refund as of today. It took two more emails in which I had to ask for a refund in ALL CAPS and cut & paste their own refund policy from their own website, before they relented and said they would issue me a refund. In total = over two hours of arguing back and forth with someone on the internet. Ridiculous.

I will post again IF and WHEN my refund is made.....but in the meanwhile, I am super disappointed. And I still have a Sub to buy, so I need that money back before I can use someone else.
Yes, of course I had a wishlist of watches to buy from them *at some point in the future*, but after what happened in my first trial run, it's spooked me off of them....sorry. They have a fabulous site -- I truly wish I was one of the happy buyers who haven't encountered this bait & switch tactic with Puretime.

Write Angus on Repgeek a PM. He will sort it out! Explain him your situation. He responds most probably within a day!

This is ridiculous. I've been waiting 48 hours for my refund, and now just heard back from them saying that they don't have enough money in their Paypal account and would I be kind enough to wait a few more days?

At this point I don't think I'm going to see my money back, and had no choice but to open a Paypal dispute with them. I hope they will do the honorable thing -- especially since I have emails from them promising that I would be refunded in 48 hours.

Guys I haven't read all the posts here but if you read Angus s thread on how things work you will get a better idea of why things are not in stock. Its the name of the game as goes it.

I did read it, actually. This is why I specifically asked to ensure the watch was in stock. I find it deceptive that within a week:
a) it goes out of stock,
b) I am pressured into selecting something else(as many others have experienced), and
c) when a refund is promised by them in writing to be within a certain period of time (48 hours), I am expected to be stupid enough to believe that they have no money in their account and that I be "kind enough to wait" an extra -- indefinite -- period of days for my refund.

I did my homework on this forum. In fact, it is because of Angus being a "trusted dealer" here that I even ordered from them.

I wouldn't open a dispute, I think you will get your money back. Maybe PM the mods around here and they can help you?

Well, I did open the dispute and miraculously (within a couple of hours) they found the money to pay me back tonight. Case closed, refund issued, problem solved. I cannot believe it had to come to this, but I'm glad it's over.

You did what? Did you read the forum rules when joined up? Why would you do that instead of contacting a moderator for help? You are not permitted to open a PP dispute with a TD without staff say so. All you needed to do was ask for help from a staffer. I suggest you go find another hobby, no TD will sell you any damn thing now.

Mate, watches not being in stock even if they have been confirmed as being available is all part of the rep game. It's not the dealers fault, if they've been told by the factories that they are in stock when they actually weren't.

Also the fact that you had to wait an extra couple of days is because dealers don't like holding lots of money in those accounts because of the very real and regular risk of having the account frozen.

...and you know why accounts do get frozen? Because people like you are too quick to file a dispute. These guys are trusted dealers for a reason - they have proven themselves to thousands of members over time and aren't going to scam you out of your money.

Should you have an issue with a TD in the future, please fill out a Help Desk ticket here: http://www.lastplaneout.biz/helpdesk/ and do not ever ever file a PayPal dispute without the consent of the mod team. Consider yourself lucky that they haven't caught onto this yet, because it will just lead you to being banned and blacklisted across all the rep forums and every trusted dealer
