Arrived yesterday! The chrono seconds don't align when reset, which pisses me off as it is clearly aligned in the QC photos (but the start/stop pusher is unscrewed in the pics, I wonder why...)

Really happy with the dial and bezel. going to find me some gen hands, crystal and gasket.

One questions, I have an VRF MAX Hulk, would an ARF band be comparable in feel?

No and yes :)

No they are not horrible, but they just don’t have the same shimmer and shine as gen. And they are cut very flat, with no curvature on the sides.

If I see a picture of a noob rep, the hands is one of my easy top 3 tells :)

But as always stated, it depends on how far you wanna take it.

imo there is a must have list and a nice to have list.

must: change crystal gasket, change dial to ARF, change clasp to ARF.

nice: change hands to gen, bezel to CF, full bracelet to ARF (if the end links are a good fit.

I would never spend money on gen dial or bezel. The price vs reward just dose not do it for me, the prices are still ridiculous high for 116500 parts. (Unlike a 116520 build, where are would absolutely change the dial to gen.)

Hey bud, do you think changing to ARF dial makes a huge difference? And Is the ARF dial distinguishable from genuine? Ive ordered a noob V4 panda with ARF bracelet and CF bezel. Would you recommend I do anything else to get closer to gen look? Thanks for your advice

Imo it ia not huge difference...arf have creamy white color of the dial and noob have bolder text on the dial..both creamy dial and bolder text have on some gens too but very rare..so if you ever find yourself side by side with gen to compare you will get spoted either from arf creamy dial or noob boolder text...but take in mind,IMO you have more gens now with bolder text than creamy dials,i never saw creamy dial except that one picture on google which exist side by side, that is the only one picture i ever saw with creamy gen dial

You literally quoted me on a list of things I would mod, and then you ask me what I would mod :)

So I've noticed that majority of people are going for the Panda noob v4s over the black dial. According to Li from Jtime, he says he has done a comparison on both the white and black dials and thinks the black dial is closer to gen than the white. Does anyone have more info about this? I've seen a lot of white dial posts but not black dial. Cheers

maybe you got one but 99% are too creamy

Well no.... That's simply not correct.

All Noob dials i've had my hands on the last couple of years are too white. v2, v2.2, v3 and v3. They are TOO white.

ARF dials are not overly white like the Noob dials, but has a very slight tint of warmth to them, like gen dials. There are variations in the ARF dials, and some of them are a bit more creamy (That has been seen on the gens to, i've posted a pic a while back.)

The dial that Mark1937 has in his 116500 is an example of a perfect rep dial. The color is spot on.

The CORRECT v2 ARF dial just blows the noob dial away, on every level :)

Find me one more pic with gen side by side, creamy and pure white,i couldnt find any other

gen have same white color as indices lume same as noob and arf have white lume and yellowish dial, most of them

The CORRECT v2 ARF dial just blows the noob dial away, on every level :)[/QUOTE]

arf have just little more crispier print and thats it..not that noticable on wrist while creamy color is instant spot
thats my opinion sorry dont get me personally
also noob improved crispness of the dial and subdials numbers are much more superior than v2 and v3,especially v2

This is a GEN and the color doesn´t look like the noob white.

I have 2 frankens and none of gen small hands fit noob. Need to mod a little.
BTW some of members fit them without mod too. Kinda random

Im glad someone have experienced the same issue LOL

But maybe the movement above V2 noob dont need any mod anymore, im not sure about that. Well i dont think anyone will believe that we have to mod the movement because we already pay the gen hands and drive me crazy because it cant fit into 4130 noob hahhahaha...

Cheers mate for having same experience :)

I have a handful of friends that has gen Daytonas, i'm basing this on actual irl experiences with this model, and not photos of the internet :)

But it's not important, we don't have to agree :) I've had a modded Noob v2.2 with perfect subdials and good text (For a noob) for over a year. And no, it does not look gen, nor does the v4 :)

If you are happy with one without mods, you are probably smarter than me :) The only thing i like about the noob, is the movement, imo ARF is superior on everything else.

If we are strictly talking about color only, both ARF and Noob are period correct. The gen Daytona dial has had both these color variations (pure white and cream white). Even the RED Daytona font has gone through changes:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=735978

Overall - because of printing crispness, marker roundedness (and WG like shine) and better coronet shape, the ARF dial (if you have right sub dial thickness) is technically superior than any Noob dial. Personally, I refuse to use any Noob dial in my modded Daytonas except the grey 116519 (which is spot on). Even the thin sub-dial ARF is better than any Noob (just my opinion ;))

Spot on, a noob dial just cheapens the whole look of the watch

But let's be honest. It's white on its own. Unless you have a gen beside it you'll never notice.

These reps specifically the noob v4 are damn Dean flawless unless you have a loupe.
