I think you missed the point, which was, “Why are you spending a grand on a watch, when you can’t even identify whether it’s the watch you want.”
But congratulations on being in the position where a grand (no wait, two grand) is just small change.

I have not seen a picture of the fake noob on this forum or in the flesh, I can't tell/ don't know what is the difference between a fake noob and a noob v4 without popping the case back. Some members of this forum have and can point out the difference such as rounded font vs square font.. donut O in Rolex, I can't.
Obviously, I know that the watch I am paying is a noob v4, but
TDs are really authoritative about the small differences between rep versions. Which is fair enough - they sell a lot of reps every day. So if they get a watch in from the factory and are told that it’s version so-and-so, they don’t have the knowledge to know any different. As far as they’re concerned, it’s the latest version from that factory.
If you are following other Daytona-related threads closely, you will know that some buyers are getting v3 and other versions from TDs that are not v4 given the current noob situation. I don't know why I owe anyone an explanation for posting a pic for clarification, isn't it the purpose of this forum... that we are here to help each other out?
