i can tell u sead has the real deal v3 as i know someone who got one.angus has been sending people the v2 thinking its the v3.and it seems ryan is shipping the v2 instead of the v3.so alfru is the only person to get the correct sub from ryan.after turning down the first qc pics,but at least it was the correct watch each time.like ive said im waiting on my qc pics and am worried ill need to get a full refund.the noob v2 sucks balls
many people have been desperately wanting a noob v2 in the last frw months,but all yds said sold out the production is stopped.well that is a lie as most yds are shipping the v2 anf charge us v3 price,not good
yep noobs fall for this even side by side noobs cant see the difference.people have been so excited and happy about there new v3 that they have posted,and i have to blast them down and tell.them they got robbed and have a v2 instead of the v3,its not good
I'm kind of in that boat. I thought I did my homework. Crown guards looked right as did the SELs. Either way, I'm glad they were honest enough to tell me after I had already approved the watch. I'm confused as to why they would be getting v2s after production had allegedly stopped.
From on a purely operations management standpoint something genuinely odd is happening. Reverting production to an earlier rev is not a "mistake". It requires retooling and redistributing manufacturing instructions to workers. In manufacturing it's almost always easier to up-rev then revert to an obsolete design.

did you ever make an itemized list of what to look for on v3 QC pics? You seem to be quite well informed on the topic..
I have about 2 weeks to wait for my QC... I'm thinking about trying to source a gen crystal and gasket with LEC, and gen or BP dial... The dial would also require no hands? Also is the spacing of superlative chronometer the main issue with BP dials?

there is no issue with bp spacing,the bp dial is a mk1 dial its an exact copy.anyway i have wrote a long list of things to check when u receive your qc pics,that was a while ago.i think we need a thread called noob v3 qc pics and ill let members know if they have the correct watch,how about that

u have to buy the whole watch im afraid or post a wanted thread on each of the forums.i did that trying to get the noob v2 prototype dial for my v3,but now joy i think only 2 people brought the noob prototype.
It's possible that the noob v2 went "out of production" because the factory was short of a certain insignificant part (v2 Pearl? v2 case back?). Once the factory got the v3 assembled, they probably had extras of the missing part and decided to assemble the old incomplete v2 watches and ship them first.

So the v3 really needs a few things to be great:
BP dial (or gen)
Gen crystal with lec and height adjustment
Gen insert.
For mods I guess a relume would be a good idea.

gen crystal is 145 just use the gen gasket u will have correct xtal height.u cant buy bp dial alone so u must buy the whole thing.gen insert around 600 pounds.gen dial around 350 pounds,
That's a whole lot of cheddar to throw at a rep. Are you going that route Live? I'd love to see a side by side against an OOB rep to see how much of a difference it makes.
na im using a gen ar xtal,bp dial and platinum paint mod,wilst im looking for a gen insert,as for the gen dial ive found one cheap but the seller is being a prick.as i asked him for more pics and he ignores me.so to hell with him i use bp for now
Yeah until the inserts become more common it's hard to justify the price on a replica. I'd almost just rather redo the platinum paint mod every couple months.
Where did you source the xtal from? There was a member posting here about getting a batch for $280 a pop which is $40 more than what you quoted in sterling. I guess you are cannibalizing a BP subc that you already have for the dial? I'm asking TDs and posted here for that as well.
