You guys really think the missing ' is made by mistake. It is a Maker's Mark of a rep watch. I'm pretty sure it's mandated. A well trained monkey could of noticed that mistake when manufacturing it. They had a Gen as a ref when making the mold right?

It's not a mistake if you took the time to read the whole thread. It is suppose to be divers without the ' on the m series.

You are incorrect, QC is not done by monkeys. It is done by goat. :gotgoat: Really interesting username. :biglaugh:

It's like that on other gen models, maybe DIVERS is Italian for DIVER'S

Sorry I cannot see clearly if it is "DIVER'S" or "DIVERS", the noob maker has the gen PAM243L and I dont think they could make such mistake.

I can see both perfectly clearly.
Both of them say: DIVERS

I agree, and don't worry, noob did good, no mistakes here.
this thread is a misunderstanding.

The spelling on the Noob 243L is correct. I have more issues with the bezel markers than with any caseback issue. Having said that it look as gen as it comes.

Oh you do? Did you mean bezel markers' paint? If the watch is from me and you can send it back and I will fix for you.

This thread is by itself about an apostrophe on a case back! ;)

This thread is also very informative and very interesting.

The true definition of an oxymoron IMO.

I love this place........

Maybe Actually.. Not to be an english Nazi, Oxymorons or oxymoras should be two consecutive words like genuine replica or boring fun... You probably meant irony?

OK fellows, false alarm then! I am glad we have sorted it out.

Still, I am quite puzzled as to why Panerai would change grammatically correct "diver's professional" to "divers professional", which makes no sense in English?

Anyways, case closed. Back to enjoying the watch. Phew...
