<False Alarm> Noob PAM243 - I found one really simple, easy and dissapointing tell...

So I've had the Noob243V2 for a few days.

Love the piece. Really impressed by the quality of the build etc etc.

Tonight, however, I realised that this watch has a very simple tell that makes it soooo easy for ANYONE to call it out, expert or not. Well, unless they blind or cant speak English, that it.

All they need is to flip the watch over and look at the caseback. And read carefully. And may be re-read again. Bingo.

I am actually surprised it has not been caught yet. It appears V1 had exact same tell, and it also appears factory has somehow followed the suit and reproduced it identically on their version. What a shame...

Well enough with the suspense, here you go:

First is a gen caseback, not the best photo but if you are keen to see more, you will find some good ones out there...but this is enough to illustrate it:

And here is a Noob one:

Here is H-factory one - I dont own their version so cant say 100% but this is from Josh's site-:

Do I hear V3 coming?:))

I'd be interested in dealers can fix this with factories and offer correctly spelled casebacks separately, priced fairly, to all who bought this watch before?

Other than this, it is 9/10 on the gen.

Nice catch, but anyone that can get my watch off my wrist to do
an inspection knows the "deal"

Yep. Doesn't really bother me, but it is surprising given how good they usually are about getting all the little details right, and something as simple as the text on the caseback should be easy enough. Oh well.

Nice catch. Guys, ALE can't be the only guy pointing these flaws out. :)

Up to J-series, where the dial was Tritium (T SWISS MADE T), the caseback was DIVER'S. K-series onwards where the dial is Luminova (L SWISS MADE L), the caseback curiously changed to DIVERS (without apostrophe). Since the latest H-Factory and N-Factory 243s are for the L and M series, the caseback is correct as per gen.

Simple elementary... Since L & M series... Officine outsourced their caseback manufacturing to GuangZhou... Oops

You guys really think the missing ' is made by mistake. It is a Maker's Mark of a rep watch. I'm pretty sure it's mandated. A well trained monkey could of noticed that mistake when manufacturing it. They had a Gen as a ref when making the mold right?
