Great job! What happened originally? Guy was in a car accident or something? That watch looked DONE.

Can you briefly describe your steps in the pre-polish and polishing stages? I can never get my polished Pams to look that good even though I have a Dremel and all the compounds lol.

If you want to pollishing the Watch only a Little bit ( no Deep scratches), so don't use a Dremel... Ist too raw.... Turms to quick .try to pollishin with very Fine Sandpapier ( for Cars painting, and wet) Even use the Same Papier Till you get the Surface like polish... You Must polish polish polish and so on......than youse the brushes in the Dremel with pollishing Paste /cream....

If you got Deep scratches than use raw Sandpapier First and than Finer and Finer .... Step by step.. You will get the Surface clean from scratches.... Than Same way like the First step!
Hope it helps

Thank you. My Pams have no deep scratches, just surface marring. Will try the sandpaper you speak of. Do you know what grit you used for the fine sandpaper?

If you only hab some Fine scratches you Van First try with Cape god..... Or fort direkt with brushes and pollishing paste.
If you always See Lines or scratches try the Sandpapier method.
I think it is sandpaper from Cars Tools for painting Cars!
P 1800 Grind than 2000 -2500

Awesome work. There is a sanding product called Micro Mesh that has a series of grits that would probably work good for this.

Let me get this straight.... 1000-2500 WET sanding did this trick? Amazing polish. I am going to test it out on a blank case I have first. I love the result of the bevel reflecting like a gem... Thats all I am looking to get out of my current watch. Let the testing begin

I don't think so. I have sandpaper up to 3000 grit and there is no way to get a mirror like shine with just sand paper. You'll definitely need jewellers rouge or polish. Polishing cloths like cape cod creates a 'fake polish' as you will see alot of micro scratches under the light.

The Sandpaper Methode is vor prepollish
After that you Must polish with Bruches and "Paris Rouge " [emoji6]

So I had an extra H Factory case. I had the bevel removed. Then I ised 600 grit sand paper wet sanding the edges of the bevel (very carefully) to round off the edges to Gen Spec. I then proceeded to use 600 on the rest of the case and bevel. After 609 I went ahead and used 1500 grit wet sanding. I probably went over everything 10x's or so. After that I went to 2000 grit and repeated the process. Let me tell you what. My modded case looks like garbage compared to what I accomplished. It looks like a Gen 100%. I will post pictures shortly. All I have left to do is have it polished on a turn wheel. I am going to leave this up to my local watch smith. Thank you for this post and not using a Dremel. Hand work is the only precise method to achieve this result. Less risk or chance of messing up.

I'm curious what happened to that watch to cause it to be so scratched up? Did someone drop it into a blender? lol

How did you find the exact size crystal to fit ? I have a spare case and I am wanting to get new crystal for it.
