Hey guys I purchased a v7 bk sub not too long ago was wondering if you guys could tell me if I have a v6s Incert or a v7 one

Also how hard would it be for someone who has never modded a watch to change the Incert

I've seen the tutorial and it looks kinda hard but not impossible at all

What does the noob factory use for glue on the Incert ?

Also I'm going on vocation mid August and would love either a temp fix to the color on the Incert

Either spongbob ( looks like long term he said won't have anymore till mid August )
Or smoke

( have a few questions on how flat the paint looks ) can anyone provide a pic of the work please

Also does anyone on here know of someone who can professionally do the Incert for me ?

I'm in Canada and bk said he could do it however he's had a handful of these watches ceased at customs so don't want to take the risk !! Someone help me please lol

You should ask BK to align that date. That's what he is suppose to do in the first place.

You think so ? Maybe it's the angle of the photo ?

Let me know
Sucks that I can't ship it back to bk right now as his shipments are getting ceased ....

What should I do ?

I attached another photo just to be sure

^looks like standard Noob factory date alignment to me (left justified). Bk list of "mods" is suppose to include centralising the date. Is it the pic or is the "2" touching the date window cut-out?

(I might be over picky with date alignment)

If I look at it straight on the two is not touching the date cut out but very small space between them
Should I change the date and show maybe another number ?

Use the platinum sharpie pen on the insert. Takes one minute to do it.

He means you paid significantly more than a stock V7 to have that fixed.
It actually looks a lot worse than my stock hulk.

I am like you and get you 100%, even if I had a gen with a misaligned date I would go and complain and get them fix for me, I just cannot stand it.. and this guy charges so much more for doing "this mod and that fix"...????!!!! I got one as a Rookie from him, it was a V5 back then with the lousy SEL, didn't know any better back then I guess

Every Noob gets his first sub from BK. lol. According to BKs section, he doesn't even fit the eta himself! The watch comes like that to him (presumably from his TD?) and he just does "alignment as required." Everyone assumes he "builds" the watches (lol) but i am guessing his TD sends him the best QC watches in the first place....so theoretically he doesn't have to do any rework himself.

Exactly! And guess what that BK watch has stopped after some time, it was some kind of small piece of steel or something inside the "Swiss" ETA, so long for someone taking extra care since you paid for a premium.. anyway this is who he is and what he does.. by the way that watch was for my wife and she really was upset when it stopped working and she couldn't wear anymore so it costed me a gen Rolex 116200 the summer after that [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

^heres what Bk does: He says nothing about fitting the ETA himself....the rest of the "checks" can basically be done at the QC pics stage....so BK doesn't have to do anything himself theoretically.

Yup. Old ETA from China.
But he's 'a true artist' (apparently)

Do not buy "Swiss ETA"s from chinese people they are not new. Old "fixxed" movements which could be much more unstable than the clone ones.

So how the hell are you guys removing your inserts to send them off? I just tried the hair dryer method and while it does loosen the insert, I cannot get my fat fingernail in there to pry it off. I'm paranoid to use something else at the risk of scratching/breaking my gen crystal.

You don't want to lift it off - that will crack it. Heat it up - properly hot. Hook a fingernail around the pearl, twist it left, right, heat it again, twist it again, and it will work loose.

I've never bought anything from him or any of his pieces from anyone.

Long story short -

I did however make the mistake of asking him to clean something up for me. $350 and many weeks later, I got back a clean but non working watch. He threw his hands up, and offered no help to fix it.

Here's another interesting fact if you haven't seen his thread on water proofing. He basically says he will charge you and check for water proofing. If it does not pass, he is not an insurance company and will not do anything for you. Too bad...
