Wow, I was just in Costco today and looked at the watch section to see various Seikos and that's about it.

My local Costco has a nice collection as well, but I've never seen a Hublot from there. However, the prices seem to be a bit higher than what you could get at an AD.
For example, I bought a tag from an AD last year for about 1,500, and the exact same watch is up for sale for 2,000 at Costco.

The Pam has been sitting for a while, but they move the Cartiers and Breitlings fast!! They had a super avenger there for about a week before it was sold... which is fast for a $10,000 watch.

I go to one in Hackensack, NJ. Which Costco is this? One in Queens? Even here in NJ, the Cartiers and Breitlings go really fast.

I see you're in NY too. I took these photos at the Costco in Westbury (Long Island). I understand it has the highest volume of sales of any costco in the US and has an affluent customer base, so it may get more of the choice watches.

P.S.

I used to live in Hackensack and shop at that Costco. Westbury does have better inventory and is a much larger store.

I am curious if they have someone on staff that actually knows about these watches. Hypothetically of course, Would they even know if you tried to return a super rep in place of the actual Gen? or even further, what about swapping movements or hands, dial etc, etc? Their return policy is known to be very lenient. I wonder if they have a checks and balances in place? What do you guys think?

I used to go to Westbury when I lived around there, but now I live in Upstate NY which forces me to go to one in Hackensack.
I miss the one in Westbury :s

1) That is a dirt bag thing to do

2) At the value of these watches that would be grand larceny in NY.

3) I doubt anyone at COSTCO would know the difference but I'd imagine there may be strict return policy for these items.

ha ha,

what's worse is paying $20K+ for some watch at a Costco that's been handled and fooled with by everybody and their dog.

THESE high-falutin' luxury watches were at Costco? Geeze, what type of clintele shops there?? I'm more accustomed to the pedestrian offerings @ Sam's Club!

LOL!!!! Actually, I was wearing my new SOSF v2 during my visit to costo. I guess costco is technically an AD, but I think Trailboss and the mods might let me slide on this offense. :biglaugh:

I response to questions posted by newtoreplica. The answer is NO they don't have anyone on staff that know about watches. The person that buys one one these watches of for $7k and up already knows what they are buying or doesn't give a shit.

Second, if you try that switcheroo with a rep, you will (and should) go straight to jail where you will receive the assf-cking of a lifetime. It is grand larceny in NY and while the costco employees may not know know the difference, the serial numbers won't match up. They aren't going to treat a return on a $10,000 watch the same way as on a $200 TV. They will check the numbers carefully. Even if they miss it initially, they will pick up the issue at some point and they will have your records from the sale. You shouldn't even think about BS like this. That's not what this forum is about and it's thinking like this that brings unwanted and unnecessary attention to what is a beloved hobbie. Trademark infringement is one thing, fraud and larceny is another entirely.
