New VSF 441 12hour GMT

I feel a whole lot of Pam's inbound this year.

Damn. Just ordered the PAM441 VSF V1 from Ryan. Payment cleared 5 days ago. Hoping he can swap for the V2 for the difference. VSF V1 no longer listed on intime, just the VSF V2.

Edit: Ryan from InTime is letting me swap for V2. QC pics of the V1 came in just this morning too - had I not seen this thread the night prior, I would have unknowingly approved the V1.

Thank you all for the extensive research most of you have done/ It has been invaluable information and led me to order my first rep.

Just ordered this 441V2 from TTW and will let you know once it comes in. Always loved this series and why not give it a try. For me it also has to be functional so GMT is something I use on a daily basis.

Haha, he's like that in all his QC vids. I always cringe when I see how rough he is with winding and time setting.

But I must say, exciting features in the V2. One difference I noticed is that when the movement is hacked the second hand doesn't reset to 12 like the gen, but that's pretty insignificant.

Could you please share that dealer's contact Info?.. been watching his videos all the time but had no way to contact..... thanks!

twtime's website is a nice resource for what's coming up in the pipeline (if you can understand Mandarin that is :lol: ) but yeah I would recommend sticking to the TDs here.

I'm late to this party, but I'm really excited about this one. It opens up a whole new world of 12 hour GMT Frankens that I have declined to build because of that pesky 24 hour GMT gear. This is awesome. and we get the independent hour hand??? My mind is blown.

Now imagine if they released the less complicated P.9000. :lol: I know there was a function rep before but the balance wheel was at 9 and the movement slightly adjusted the location of the seconds hand post.

I could spot a few flaws with the movement but minor issues. Question to modders: Can you soften the edges of the ceramic crown? I had no experience with ceramic cases so wrong moves might just break em.

What a beauty. I've actually got a gen CG for this. Now that the 12 hour is fixed. Maybe I'll get to use it!

To answer your question. There are files for ceramic, made of extremely tough materials, but I don't know how that would behave against the teeth of the crown. I bet it would just chip.
