VRF = Good movement, but arguably brtter bezel color

Personally I think it is a no brainer. Rep is closer to the gen mkI, has the better movement and is cheaper. Great OOTB.

Just had this arrive from Sead , not a Pepsi I know , but VRF all the same
The straps had a baby bath oil overnight and the timekeeping so far is impeccable
Any recommendations for gen upgrades ?

Funny you ask...this is the one GMT 6 digit model that has gen parts widely available for reasonable pricing. Many folks on this forum have gone all the way and replaced entire dial, hands, crystal, bezel assembly, crown and movement parts.

They're on ebay (seller Nostalgia2000) They have many to choose from... you could even get one with full AR on the crystal!

Get the 2.85mm gasket but I always like to have a shorter (2.7mm) and a taller (3.0mm) on hand in case the date mag looks off with a replacement crystal. If you want to buy extra gaskets from Gary (Clark), contact him with a parts list and he will create a special listing for you so you only pay one shipping charge.
