Why is it so hard to clone an existing watch?
Just buy the gen one, tear it down and replicate every single piece.. don’t get me wrong. what they do is impressive, though.

You could say the same thing about a Ferrari or some type of car right? Chinese makers could just buy one and replicate every part?

It's not hard. Very easy to clone an existing watch.
Rent a watch from a dealer
Build 3d models, examine every part of it.
Hire some watch makers to clone the movements from data, cnc the case etc, even source legit parts from manufatures

The hard part is paying. If you spend 50-100k, its easy job.

they can, and do, make some very good RM clones. my skull, the $900'ish one is very good as is the 21.

The APSF has a better upper bezel compared to this one, you can see the difference on glass angles, it is more rounded and on-par with gen.
