I went for the 'ponced up' Dd4131 for four reasons...Yep, I think the 4801 / 2 movements look to be way better built than the ponced up 4131's, and why do we care what the balance looks like, from the dawn of watches the regulating system used in 99.9 % of movements has always been the same design and has mostly served us well

the number on the watch case starts from 1...LV66;I went for the 'ponced up' Dd4131 for four reasons...
1. It has a bi-directional rotor which is quieter than a uni, I also wear my watches on my right wrist and I heard/read somewhere that uni-directional rotors don't operate as well when worn on the right?? Someone can enlighten me on this...
2. I believe it has a Paraflex shock absorber like gen and so more resilient to knocks.
3: If it shits itself you can always drop in a 4801 anyway.
4. I'm keen on an open caseback, don't know why, just wanna see that beautiful mechanism, which the Peacock is not!![]()
