So i received it
And I'm kinda disappointed.
i will probably do a photo comparo between my 35-01 and this 35-02 but one thing that i noticed straight away is it looked bigger than my 35-01. i thought I was tricked by the fact I'm wearing quite often my 27-02 (I have it today as well) which is smaller but a quick measurement with the caliper confirmed that COMPARED TO RM35-01 it is:
1.7mm WIDER (measured at mid case 9 - 3 - crown line)
.6mm THICKER (it has the layered sides but, sorry, thickness bothers me a lot)
case length is equal, lugs same (so i believe you can easily swap straps)
Xtal is good and has a blueish tint (same as 27-02), gears deco are sharp and fc pattern is great but these size won't make this a keeper for me I think.
Rubber strap is soft and supple but the deplo is a bit funny..anyway can't beat the comfort of velcro anyway.
This case seems a bit closer for the front pannel

As you can see the decorated details on this KVF replica is superb in quality. The photo-etched faux gears really brings that genuine look IMHO ( especially if you see this stuning piece in person) As for the NTPT forged carbon bezel, I think they should be able to fix this in the near future to achieve that complex "tiger stripe" pattern. The problem is, only on how they layered the carbon sheet before they forged and shaped the bezel. How they layered and shaped the carbon sheets for the the caseback is somehow better than how they did it for the front bezel. In my personal opinion, I think the case back really has that detailed and complex "tiger stripe" partern. Giving it that GEN like looks comparing to the front bezel. I will show some pictures of the caseback on my next post, to give everybody some idea what I'm talking about. And I also think they did a good job on the AR coating. Well, overall I'm really happy with this puchased and I must say this Taiwanese Factory really delivered their replica game quality.
Not surprised really, we run 2 and 3 axis mills and we charge £35 p/hr, 5 axis would probably be over £50 p/hr. Plus machining carbon is difficult, with specialized tooling needed, compared to normal steels and alloys and other non ferrous metals (ie, composites tend to delaminate from what I understand).that would be me, the project is still in the works, i have the block of carbon that does look similar to the RM, im still trying to find someone that has 5 axis mill that is willing to make the case for me. so far a couple places ive talked to want well over 4k
How do you know their factory is in Taiwan?!
