I don't think the new aqua terra blue has that kind of sunburst effect on the dial

The dial will come alive depending on the angle and light around you...

I sure hope so.. My wife has a gen Grey dial 30mm AT and it comes alive at certain light angles.. Very beautiful) but if you check those videos posted earlier today you'll notice that the blue version doesn't have the same 'glowing' effect as the bumble bee... I hope I'm wrong because I need a blue watch!

I compared the photos of the watch with my gen, and the only thing this new rep got wrong is the tiny engraved markings on the bracelet. But no one notices that. Other than that, it actually looks fantastic.

Just need to be tested to see if the movement is reliable. It seems reliable on the Spectre clone, but this one this time is the 8500 clone with the date function, so the hour hand should be able to change the date either forward or backwards, like the gen. Keep in mind that even some gens of this have problems with the alignment of the hour hand when the hour hand is adjusted backwards to change the date. So i'm curious to see how this clone can cope with that and if it will have issues like on some of the gens.

And I just saw the video of it from that link. The shade of blue and the way it reflects light is very gen like. Very very close like mine. My goodness. I'm impressed. I wouldn't have bought the gen if the AT rep looked as good as this last year..haha

Here is a video of my gen blue AT for comparison... https://youtu.be/hXEcO5e36Qk

Well, just sell your gen and get this rep now ;)

IMO, even if the clone movement turns out to be super unstable (doesn't appear to be the case), dies after 1 year and turns out to be unserviceable, being that is only 1/10 the price of the gen you can always buy a new one...

Nah. The gen was my grail and the rep of the AT just didn't look convincing at the time, so i went for the gen and it was something I saved up for and I was like a happy kid when I finally got it. Not gonna sell it...haha

The lug to lug length of the 41.5mm AT is 48.4mm which compares to the Submariner 16610 with lug to lug length of 48mm. I reckon it should look alright on wrists larger than 6.4" except for the larger face of course, the dial: bezel ratio. Divers wear smaller because of the smaller dial: bezel measure.

I think if you account for the solid end links the length is a couple of mm longer. I agree it should fit most wrists of approximately that size.

Wow...really impressed by these new AT reps. This time, the dial (teak pattern) looks really nice, on all dial colours. No "grooves" anymore.
The black is very rich and kinda glossy...very gen like. Crystal looks also very clear with some nice AR. I'm interested in the 15000 gauss bumblebee.
Second hand looks spot on. The yellow minute numbers maybe a tad too bright?

I have also the blue gen, and I must admit the rep seems to be very very close.

I think Aqua Terra is one of the most beautiful and underrated timepieces out there. It's modern, elegant, sporty and overall perfect, especially if you want to have only one watch. It's very nice to see that they repped it properly, can't wait to lay my hands on this.

I too was considering the bumblebee AT, but then I noticed that they got the caseback totally wrong for the bumblebee model. See if you can spot the differences....

Missing 15000 GAUSS and 8500 should be 8508

For me though this is no deal breaker...not going to see any of that on the wrist!

If I were to nitpick or scrutinize the new rep, the flaws I see would be the wrong markings on the bracelet. I can't say much about the shape or sharp angles of the bracelet links etc unless I handle the rep side by side with the gen. But the markings here is the first I would notice.... It should be JJD and 11 instead of JJF and 62.

Are you planning on ordering one of the models to do a side by side review?

Maybe. The thought had crossed my mind. Thought of getting the bumblebee model but then it has the wrong rotor. Might get the blue rep just for fun and compare it with the gen. Hmmm....

Who cares about some small numbers on the backside/bracelet that nobody can see, unless you want to sell it as a gen.
I'm gonna wait, maybe they will release even more colours...(bi-colour with brown dial please), but the 15'000 gauss is tempting... and a fair price too.

I can't decide between AP 15400 blue dial or Aqua Terra blue dial. Which one would you choose guys? This version of AT seems to be closer to GEN than the 15400
