Remember when this thread was about the watch and not about the box? Gen or rep box, why does it matter? It may be a super clone Omega box for all we know. And are you gonna be wearing the watch and lugging the huge Omega wooden box around with you everytime? Seriously, there is this thing called private message if you still insist on inquiring about the box.
Now back to the Aqua Terra!
This thread needs more photos of the watch! Black, blue, white... Post and share them!
I had the blue one also, which i wanted to keep tbh... its very hard to get a good shot of it, the pictures never seem to do the dial any justice
here a link to a little video where i tried to capture the effect of the dial under light
https://repsource.smugmug.com/Omega/...-VSF/i-tkhvWg3
Ac777 the lighting they use in those photo tents plays havoc with the dial.. you need to see it in natural light.. its stunning
The width of the band is 20mm, right?
Is the blue dial AT the gen or rep?
This one pictured from RepPossessed is the rep. Very very close isn't it? The shade of blue is just slightly different but only noticeable if you have the gen beside it. When it's on it's own like this, very hard to tell.
I had just ordered the blue dial a few days ago but now am having second thoughts while reading this thread. Lots of people saying that the dial on the rep is way darker than the gen and it looks like the rep sunburst effect isn't as bright.
Even though I love the gen blue dial to bits and lack a blue dial watch in my collection, should I opt for a black dial instead?
More pics for the thread and a question for you guys. There's a smudge or something on my dial between the 4 & 5 hour markers. Extremely hard to notice unless you're staring at the watch (as we do) from a few inches in just the right lighting conditions. I've never disassembled a watch. Is this something I could clean myself or should I have a watchsmith handle it?
