New release: Aqua Terra with 8400 clone movement

I was mainly comparing to your Gen. Holding it at similar angle and similar lighting, the dial is very very close. I think the fact that you can't tell until you put them side by side speaks volumes to how good it is. I'm pleased!

For a rep, that looks really good! Wear it well!

How is the date change like on the rep? On my gen, around 25 to 30 mins before midnight, the number in the date window can be seen slowly going down to make way for the next date. Then around a min or two after midnight it changes. Is it like that on the rep?

Here you can see the date transitioning from 12 to 13 as it approaches midnight. My gen Diver 300m doesn't do this... Only my Aqua Terra. Curious how it is on the rep...

Rep is similar but a bit worse. Mine starts the transition quite early around 10 so there's that annoying bit where the datewheel is in the middle

Received my QC. Just me or does the letter G on logo look off? Afaik it should be aligned with the other letters but it seems a little lower. The logo on the dial is a pretty huge deal breaker so it should be done well IMO.

Enough reason to ask for another watch, or do you guys think it's good enough? Other than this slight issue it looks great.

The picture isn't showing up. I've found if you remove the "s" from "https" which causes the connection to Imgur to run on port 80 instead of 443, Imgur pictures will show up.

I still don't see it. Just use flickr to host and be done with it. Much more user friendly then imgur..

Just accept it. Chances are that the replacement watch will have another flaw maybe a worse one. So if the rest is great just take it.

Don't see any flaws on it, in my mind it's one of the best reps in the last years, that is if you like Omega watches.
The only thing on this watch specific is that the date is not completly centered, but minor flaw.
The movement is the big question, haven't heard of anyone tearing apart and give an honest opinion of it yet, that is what i'm wating for, have one on the way (GMT) that is going straight for service and complete teardown.

Would you mind sending me a reply when you've torn it down and had a service /inspection to let me know what the GMT is like, I've been holding out for one until I am a bit more certain of what they're like, gen strap would be first on the list as the rep strap is shocking, but the GMT hand doesn't look the bestdas it has a huge red paint border in the photos I've seen.

I'm referring to the blue material strap which is available on the GMT from TrustyTime. The weave is huge and the stitching from what I have seen is not very good either. I have tried one on at LGW airport and the blue strap has a nice small tight weave.

You are referring to older releases? These new releases are only on ss and have been out for 3-4 weeks...but do agree rep straps are not always the best which is why I have two gen leather straps inbound.

Ah, that'll be why then. I have just seen that TT is down as of couldn't check which release it was.
I'll have a look and see if the white GMT is available on PT or IT and check which release it is.

No white dials that I've seen yet, but the brown dial two tone just showed up.

Yeah a little premature but not a deal breaker.

Here's a lume pic for those who asked earlier. One of my friends was skeptical it was as good as I said and checked the dial out with his loupe and said there was no overspill on the lume and he was quite impressed.
