Apparently, they made a clone movement for 8500 and 8900 series, but not for the 8800... didn't realized that, but indeed they used an asian decorated even on older models when sporting a 8800

I'm wondering why VSF now uses an asian decorated movement in their latest releases instead of the clone movement used before...
I own a VSF PO GMT with their 8605 clone that's working flawlessly since January when I got it... and still wearing it everyday...

Anyone has a clue? Just an economic choice or did they discover a flaw in their cloned movements?

This watch has never used a clone movement. which I for one am quite glad about.

Also the a2836 replicates all the functions of the Omega 8800 as it features a quick-set date instead of the jumping hour hand (like in the clone movement)

Might just be the angle, but bezel insert alignment looks a little off? Otherwise, looks great, might have to order one.

I was about to order the gold one which released from VSF a few days ago, but then I saw this and had to order it! The black ceramic and the titanium combo looks great.

Anyone know how hard wearing the ceramic is. We can rebrush s/Steel cases etc but with ceramic will it chip, scratch etc ?

Ceramic shouldn’t scratch easily but will chip or crack if banged hard. My wife has had her gen Chanel ceramic j12 for 11 years and it looks like new!

It can chip, especially on the lugs, and then there's nothing you can do

What a stunning watch-hardly a deal breaker but does anyone know if VSF replicated the NAIAD case lock system?
I had the gen on my wrist last week but need to sell my gen 2018 black dial first. The feel of the cut and shaped ceramic was just mesmerising but the look from my wife was overpowering
