May be a silly question, so excuse my ignorance. you can use a 3135 as an overlay on 2824 (I had a Gen DW installed in a 2824 sub) The issue With doing the same with the ARF DJ41 was (so I’m told) because of its dials date window position. Hence the need for the wider 3235 DW. If a regular 3135 DW wouldn’t work as an overlay, why would a regular 2824 work in the DJ41

The date window on a DJ41 rep is indeed in a different position than the more common Rolex models like Sub, Gmt, YM, etc. However the DJ41 date window coincides with the native 2824/36 ETA datewheel, so just printing directly on it works perfectly.
The only way a 2824/36 DWO works on the other models is that it is shifted inward from the original datewheel position.
