Those photos from puretime may just be their previous version of the PPF 5726. I thought they revised the month wheel to correct “ARP” even on the previous version. Correct me if I’m wrong.

While I understand the 10:10 position and trying to hide the tell with the dial, what I really don’t understand is the pictures of gens with the same hand position.

10:10 is the standard hand position to photograph any watch. Look at any gen manufacturer's website, Rolex, Patek, Jaeger etc all their watches are at 10:10

What's the difference between this 'new version' and the one that has been available for a year now ? The movements looks the same to me.

To those who own the latest blue 5711, 5712 and 5726 reps. How would you compare the dial color of 5726 with the two others? Which one do you like the best? I'm just asking it because I've been tempted by the upcoming 5726 with clone movement and I and my wallet are not sure if I really need another blue Nautilus rep. :wow: :confused:

Maybe this well help. 5711 (3KF), 5712 (GF/ZF/PPF), 5726 (PPF)... all fantastic pieces and I recommend the whole trio.

5712 dial is my favorite of the there. I have a gen 5712 and while the dial colors are different in some light (particularly indoors) but they look similarly nice. The faux power reserve isn't really a big deal since it does move, and I'm happy enough with the rep that my gen stays in the safe since it's become quite valuable.

I would say the 5712 dial is blue with a hint of green, the 5726 dial is blue with a hint of purple, and the 3KF dial is plain blue. I believe there are genuinel variants similar to each in the Nautilus line - there are subtle changes between different models and years. The updated 5712 with functional PR seems to have a different dial, it does not look as nice in the photos... I'm waiting for QC pics and if the dial looks ends up looking as it does in the factory pics, I will likely try a dial swap with the previous version.

Oh man, you are KING. Thank you very much for your detailed pictorial answer. I'm aware some folks hate the purple tint of some blue Nautilus dials but I would consider it as an exciting color variation among my blue watches. I'm definitely following up the news about the upcoming 5726.
Interestingly, I previously thought that the dial color of gen 5712 was more bluish than rep's. However, it looks the opposite in your pic.

Heisemberg , can you please measure the exact thickness of your 5726? I wonder how much thinner the new release will be.

Thank you. In this case I shouldn't expect much improvement from the new release with clone movement. I thought the gen thickness was below 11 mm.

No, that's not the case. So it's not gonna be a huge improvement in case size, if any. And dial looks the same. Mostly it could be that they've made a clone movement. Although i haven't seen any proof of that yet. All the released pictures until now are of a decorated movement.

But the month seems like it now will advance by itself after 31 days go by. Not perfect but a nice functional improvement. Would love to take apart the movement to see how they managed it.

Agreed. I think I can live with the dial error, as literally no one would notice that. The movement on this and the 5712 may be game changers. Love what PPF is doing. If they get the dials down pat, they could have two NWBIG Pateks. Unreal that this is even a conversation.
