Looks like it's plastic/ceramic part i this new version of the movement, was it there in the version before?
Is it more than just an cosmetic upgrade of the movement?
On the rotor there seems to be trimmings left from the milling if you look above the seven days text.

Yes, its not gen.. I didnt want to be the one to point this out bec this is so gorgeous! And the last time i said mentioned leaving out the gold hallmarks on clasp everyone was like "its a rep if im so anal i should get a gen" blah blah.. But basically the iwc emblem engraved on movement isn't positioned in the right angel its no big deal but thats how you can easily tell its its not the gen..
i still don't see the easy tell that you say.
after some quick look at gen movement pics, rep looks fine.
