I was so excited for this, but a green-dialed 111 is not a 911. Too many flaws and we havent even seen QC pics yet (waiting on Thrasher as our guinea pig). Kind of a let down after all this waiting. Welp, I guess that frees up funds in the short term for the ARF BLNR.
preppyr6 It sort of is on the wrist. Can you honestly say you are going to run into someone with a genuine "The Last One for Paneristi" on their wrist (or alternatively someone who can differentiate between the bezel and lug profile of a 111 and 911 without another watch next to it) and not already know each other ?
No I don’t plan to run into someone with a gen 911 and have to explain a $250 replica, but I’m in this hobby for other reasons. The flaws may not be noticeable to anyone else but they’re noticeable to me. Yeah I could go buy a gen, but honestly owning a rep and owning a gen, there’s more fun in owning a rep. I guess I look at this as MVP-minimum viable product. Is this sufficient as an MVP 911 for me? Not unless the qc pics wow me.

When I get home in a few hours, I will post a side by side of Noob v4 case and a gen 915. If you can honestly identify the differences , I am signing you up for all my QCs
As promised, here is an "old" Bettarini gen case (390) next to "new" gen case (915) and you are absolutely right The new case is slimmer, more curvaceous and has slender lugs. Not sure if you see this on the wrist though....

The case then is not an issue for me but still the dial and handset need improvement. Hopefully eventually they will in another version or from a different maker. Really though it's all about the dial color if its great the everything else is a non issue
Look down this page and compare the NOOB and VSF dial, I think VSF have got the dial "12" right and NOOB is using the same dial for many watches that might not be related.

I agree, I have never been fixated on exact case shape. As long as finish is high and the case is a Luminor case, I don't go comparing to my own gens even or that's one slippery slope !!! I am expecting the 915 to be a 111 with different text on the dial and the 911 to he a green dial 390. Provided the aesthetics are spot on, and the watch wears like the feel of a quality Panerai, anything else is a bonus for the $258 asking price . Of course, if they got the sandwich cut outs perfect, had the exact shade of numerals and the case was as per my 915 , then hey I am not going to complain and happily hand over $500 for a 911.
VSF has overtaken Noob, period. See my VSF Hulk post. Once frankened, it is game over (although that gen bezel and insert that is up for sale is very, very tempting....)
VSF has not made such dials before, except for the 8-day series from v6f(if we consider the option that they have a common base of "developments", so to speak) , but it also lagged behind zf in form of numbers, for example. I think both noob (By the way, I didn't compare, but the font of the numbers their 026k seems to be very similar) and xf can do this dial well with "0" if they want to.
Yes, but if you take the line-up of models made by Noob, then they were the best factory for PAMs.
