Here's something you can watch while some of you guys are waiting for yours. I did a short detailed video of the watch showing the bezel action, the detailed caseback, the mesh clasp and of course the dial and titanium case itself. Really love the colour and the way the light hits this watch!

After seeing that video I'm confident there's been no change in the color of the dial from V1 to V2. Has looked very brown in certain photos but looks identical to how the V1 plays in the light here. Looks beautiful. Glad I picked up the first version though. I enjoy a little bit more heft on my wrist and I haven't seen enough of a color difference in the titanium to warrant the change.

I think the bezel insert numbers trick the eye, if you zoom to the plain areas it’s not brown anywhere on that pic.

Hard to tell from pics, need the two side by side and look at them with the eyes not via a lense

Ha ha is it like that weird blue or gold dress thing!!

Omega describe the watch as brown so it shouldn’t be black. This has a brown hue on the bezel and dial if you compare to a black aluminium bezel watch no? Let’s say a Rolex sub pre ceramic.

First thing I saw on your earlier v1 pic was how bright the case looked compared to v2

For me the case in steel looks off.

In the video you can clearly see the difference in colour from the mesh to the v2 case.

But omega describe it as brown. Why would they make a black bezel and call it brown. Nope doesn’t make sense, I know it’s probably a very dark brown and difficult to see in images hence why I’ve asked the question to the owners of the v2.

Titanium and steel are distinctly different in colour.

This is a section of an image of part of MrBurgundy gen. I’d say that’s a brown bezel. So back to my question, is the rep like this?

Looks grey if anything, still no brown for me

Think it’s the bezel insert numbers making you think it looks browner. I agree tho, it’s described as brown so must be.

Probably the particular screen display everyone is looking at this has something to do with it, but for me the rep bezel looks perfectly brown. Very similar to the gen.

Were my many photos (and videos) of the watch that I posted previously not enough to convince you that the rep is brown? Yes, the rep bezel is brown. And like the gen, lighting plays a part for the brown to pop. If you look at various images of the gen, the bezel can look black too. But overall the bezel has a brown shade to it, something the rep got very close, or dare I say, spot on. The pics of the rep below, looking like that gen image you posted.......

With the black liquidmetal ceramic bezel of my Seamaster 300.. You can see that on the NTTD, its definitely not black.

Yes, the titanium case is definitely darker. It has a darker tone to it compared to stainless steel. I can't see the difference with it against the steel mesh, at least not in person, but when I look at the case beside my steel SMP, the difference in contrast is very clear. The titanium is a tad darker.

I don't fundamentally disagree that the titanium is darker, I think that got misconstrued. I was just saying it's not significant enough of a difference for me to care to go out and pick up the V2; I also prefer to have a case which matches the SS Staib band, however small the difference may be. Talking about a shockingly minor discrepancy. And not that I don't trust you imranbecks, but a polished steel watch is not a good comparison with a brushed stainless case, as the albedo will be inherently brighter on the polished case. Do you happen to have another brushed steel watch to compare to? Just out of curiosity.

Anyway, mildly touched up for contrast and what now but I've noticed it appears significantly more brown in overcast light, which is convenient, given I live in Seattle :)

The bezel is brown enough if you’re outside looking at it. The brown-ness depends on the ambient light. The pictures here don’t lie. It looks way darker than a regular SMP (the titanium case). Wears much lighter. It’s a nice looking watch.

Distinct brown? I don’t see that

Me neither, the indexes give a brownish look to the whole watch, and i can say it's the same on my V1.
Sometimes it look a bit brownish, but i think is just a sensation

Honestly i can't say is brown. It isn't fully black, but still no brownish.
For the first time since i've received my watch, i was able to examinate under direct sunlight (and in Sicily we have a really shiny sun) but still no brown
