Also unrelated, but is the helium valve actually functional on these watches? I've found differing opinions on it but it looks functional when I unscrew it.

Unrelated to your question but you think the satin version of your Staib would match closer to the titanium case in the V2 version?

I would like to know the answer to that as well but it seems unlikely that they would spend the extra money to incorporate a functional one way valve on a rep watch that will never see the depths or extended dive times that necessitate the helium release valve in the genuine watch.

Are there any watchmakers out there that can confirm the functionality (or lack thereof) on the rep watch?

It’s water resistant to 30 meters from the factory (allegedly) so I would take a wild stab in the dark and say that it’s decoration only.

The helium valves on replicas were never made to be functional. The ones on the Omega reps may look like they work, but they don't. They can screw out and be screwed down, but that's it. That's all it replicates. It's not a functioning helium valve.

The version I have is the satin version. I think you'll be happy with whatever you get if you get a bracelet from them, and I truthfully don't think the color of the case is going to be off enough to really be noticeable at all.

Cool, thanks! I'm seriously considering the V2 now!

imranbecks what a great video. Thank you for sharing! For me the watch looks great. I was really waiting for this release... But the bracelet is a huge problem for me. I will wait for the V3 (if there is going to be a V3)...

Exactly! I’ve read this thread and I get the need for a rep to be accurate to a certain degree, I say If you want a flawless model, well that would be a gen so buy a gen ....but for that price maybe live with what vsf are producing and be grateful they are!!

I’ve got a v2 on the way, big thanks to Andrew at Trusty Time for such a quick turnaround! Just over 24 hours...

I agree, the level of accuracy VSF have produced is pretty incredible already so I’m happy with what it is at $430!

So I emailed Omega regarding a product number for the authentic Milanese band. The person who got back to me claimed that the product is not currently available & there is no known price. What the hell???

Cannot recommend Andrew enough, I had the QC photos within 12 hours of placing the order! (will ask him for permission to post them)

Did consider BTC but no I opted for paypal in the end which was very quick and easy!

The strap is not really a deal breaker for me as I plan on wearing the nato, but I do intend to source a 21mm seamaster professional bracelet for it which IMO looks better than the mesh!

Is it 20 or 21mm lug width?

As far as I know its a 21mm lug width but i'm going to wait and measure it when it arrives, also ordered a Spectre v2 which has a 21mm lug width..... sooooo maybe that bracelet will fit!
