Please someone help me before I lose my mind 😅😅😅

These are both allegedly 'VSF NTTD V5' (the newest release). So can someone please explain to me why they look completely different!? - I pulled both these pics from RepTimeQC...All taken in the last week, so what is going on here?

What do you think looks different besides the lighting and image quality?

Drastically different lighting conditions

Texture and colour of the indices is completely different to my eye
You can't judge white balance in different lighting conditions with different cameras.

Similarly, the texture is extremely difficult to tell at these distances as modern phones have crazy noise cancelling etc, and in the one the markers look a bit "blown out" which would hide the texture. Overhead lighting vs sideways light would also drastically change the appearance of the texture.

Unless the watches are next to each other and show big differencs, there's nothing here that really looks drastically different to me for on these photos other than lighting and camera conditions.

Did you find VSF have updated the pink hue to the hands? I cant seem to see them in photos anymore

I also think where VSF goes wrong is the texture on the indices, it look lumpy, whereas on gen it looks very smooth

You're gonna keep posting the same photos and I'm gonna keep saying the same thing. Lighting, cameras, lenses, angles. Are you looking at something specific?
Bezel marking thickness for one?

Honestly I think they are the same. The first shot is out of focus the second shot is not. Therefore on the first shot the fonts and markings appear thicker because they are more blurred. When I take photos if they are out of focus it makes a big difference in how thin the fonts appear.

Yeah that’s likely the case. The only reason I can’t gel with these NTTDs is the texture on the indices.

The texture of the lume on the early models matches the textured lume of the vsf. Later gen models appear smoother.

That’s the beauty of reps: Omega VSF use decorated A2824, so very easy to service or to source a new movement or replace by gen 2824
Is there any record of anyone ACTUALLY doing a 2824 swap on this?

Because, looking at the movement picture, the dial feet hole placements, as well as case clamp positions are completely different than stock SW200 or 2824. For starters, the VSF a2824 mod has 3 case clamp screw positions, while SW200 only has 2. And they are in different locations. Plus more importantly, the dial feet positions are wrong.

I do not think this is an easy replaceable movement

Sorry, I stand corrected. Did some searching.

Looks like the screw and dial feet positions don't matter, since the movement isn't actually secured to the movement mount at all - it's just the decorated plate that is. And the dial feet positions don't matter since the dial isn't secured to the movement, but rather to the movement mount with adhesives.

Not a good design in terms of structural integrity, but i guess it does mean you can swap in a 2824 replacment

Dozens and dozens, you can also leave the decorative plate and rotor off to quiet it down.

Question is if it's H2 or H4 cannon pinion!
