Good morning everyone! I spent the morning reading this post because I would like to buy an NTTD and a "planet ocean orange" but I would like from you some advice on reliable and safe sellers, online and full but ...
Thanks for the answers, even in private.

The bullet has been bitten. I ordered that Ti bracelet from Amazon I posted about a couple of weeks ago. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

The colour matches the case almost perfectly. Under some light conditions it is a perfect match, under direct sunlight it sometimes seems a bit darker or with a slight bronze tone, which complements the tropical dial of this watch.

And it's amazing how light it feels. Some mere 80 grams for the VSF V4 head with this bracelet. Yes, that is the fruit scales at my local super marker. Improvise, adapt, overcome.

The comments section on Amazon hints that these bracelets may be discarded stock, and although that may be true, I was fortunate enough to get a perfect example. If you have thin wrists, this is more comfortable than the rep bracelet and the Ti tone is closer to gen, so until someone reps the original bracelet in Ti or at least SS with a shorter length, like the gen you can get as an option, this is probably how I'll be rocking mine.

Yes, I got the same bracelet too but requested without the brand embossing on the clasp.
The built quality is very good and it is extremely light. The Ti colour matches well. Paid 40 bucks for it

I didn't know you could get this unbranded... Oh, well. Although today Mr. Bond would be too posh to mismatch watch parts there was a time, namely in 1964´s Goldfinger, when he had no problem in improvising with whatever resources were available, putting a 16mm nylon strap on a 20mm 6538 Submariner.

Anyway, the two other JBs (Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer) would certainly have no problem modifying their gear for a tactical advantage, as most real life operators, and that is good enough for me ;)

Not bad. Very nice. And the gen weighs 96g on the mesh, taking into consideration the additional titanium clasp and all the gen mesh comes with. So 80g overall on the Junghans titanium mesh is impressive.

Great find! Could one of you guys measure the actual thickness and length of both halves of the bracelet?

I went Gen (gave up on waiting for a better rep titanium bracelet, which will probably not come anymore anyways.)
Thought I share a detailed compariosn between the currently best rep VSF V4 and Gen version. Gen on left, rep on right on all pics.
The color and details of the mesh is really a differnt class, Still the V4 isn´t bad. The biggest problem is its Steel material and no titanium, I think. The gaps beween the links look darker on the titanium and makes the overall look quite different and "cleaner."

freefallrlc The gen bracelet is a completely different level item vs the reps in all aspects.
Did you get yours at the Omega boutique?

Hi guys, the ORF and VSF (from the description) both has decorated A2824 movements.

I've had challenges with the 2555 decorated to be P999 before (PAM512), so I am curious if I can do a direct swap from decorated A2824 with a 2824-2 or PT5000 when the movement reaches its time to die.

Speaking of decorated P999, do our TDs carry just the movement of this? It has been years since they released it.

Thanks!

To my best understanding, it is more than just decorated, they used a cage like holder to house the A2824 onto it. Swapping and servicing the movement is a PITA.
Correct me if I am wrong

Thank you for the reply.
It also looks like newer seamaster replicas are using the same modified movement.
I wish we have a rep this that looks good externally but would be easy to swap the movement. I mean this is not even a glass caseback and afterall, (i think) one of the reasons why we have interests in reps is to enjoy a daily beater without much headache and without spending a fortune.

I saw an AGF one which seems to use a 2824-2, but I also saw the review of it in this thread where there are misalignments and all, and only the SS version.

I would love to hear what our more knowledgeable community members here can share re:swappability and maintainability of these decorated movements.

Thanks!

Over 2 years with my V2. Been wearing it daily in rotation with my gens. Still love it the same way when I first got it. Looking at it really brings back moments from the movie. But one moment I probably want to forget is when Bond gets blown up along with the watch :p

Time flies..
