used a normal knot (cross thread, reverse on self, cross under and pull tight).

Trick was keeping the tension so it knots well under the bezel but it wasn't that tricky. Also can use a thin blade to push any remaining hint of thread under the bezel. Also used black bezel.

All that is visible round the edge of the bezel from side on is clean join with the case and bezel. VSF did a great job IMHO but they should have gone further and done the notch by the HE valve - that would make it superrep.

Yep.. that said when I've seen the gen in person, there is really no difference in the look or feel of it. Very weird to be honest when you hold it and think of the price difference! I know the movement is a large part but still.

It’s a bond premium thing haha after all the marketing, omega just had to price it up there

I would just run it as is. Wait til it craps out then swap to ETA/miyota
but everyone’s situation and finances are different. If swapping to an eta/miyota is chump change then go for it.

I haven’t had any issues with any Asian eta/miyota clones yet. Some wind and feel a bit crappier than others, some feel crisp. None have given me problems in several years. 50-60 of them. Just enjoy it as is, another rep will come out that you love, funds may be better spent on a second watch.

It's a good point. The watchmaker is trying to fix it but cant find what is wrong with it and he's thinking about swapping to an ETA. But in all honesty, having the watch running a couple of minutes fast is OK with me, I just use the watch for some hours a day.

It just bothers me a bit because the watch is so perfect otherwise.

Just remember that it’s in his best interest to make more money by swapping the movement.
set it a minute behind in the morning, by dinner you will only be a minute early.

Thanks for your comments. I'll ask to have the watch serviced, pick it up, and live with it.. I guess you are right. I think I didn't fully accept replicas will have these issues. But as you said, it really is no big deal.

The quality varies. Some have very good finishes and some are pretty poor.
None of them are Ti of course

You can imagine with all the prices seen in Aliexpress it is impossible for the bracelet be made with Ti. I even wonder if the Ti NTTD reps are really made of Ti in view of the prices they are selling. Or is my perception is wrong that Ti is not that costy in reality?

Titanium is not expensive but difficult to work.
It's easier to make a round case than a mesh bracelet.
In the rep game you also can find real forged carbon cases.

The standard bracelet only looks good if you have a good size wrist. The actual problem comes from the rather awkward curvature of the clasp on the small wrist unless you are wearing the short version of the bracelet
