I’m afraid I disagree, watches are made to be worn and the thought of saving for and spending a fortune on a gen omega, Rolex whatever, to then lock it away in a safe…madness.

I have a gen Rolex sub and wear it most days. I won’t cry if it gets a scratch, it’s a watch I love and love to wear.

I 100% agree with you bro.. if someone is buying a piece just to have it stored for fear of scratching it that simple means they can’t afford it and have no business owning these kind of luxury items.

Yep fingers to open mine too. I’ve found that using a thicker caseback gasket increases the reverse pressure against the caseback Holding it tighter.

That’s not normal. My ones aren’t like that. Sounds like QC issue with some batches. Factory might have used wrong gasket or a batch issue with some caseback tolerances.


Ref. TD website for movement pics. It’s not all that interesting. Sits behind a closed caseback anyway. Could be unmarked for all i care.
