If you already like the watch now, whether you have the rep or gen, you'll probably like and appreciate it even more now after you see the movie ;)

This is gen or rep?
Always found it fascinating that the bracelet seems to be much too long for fitting average wrist size.
Shaw Theatre? S'pore?

Its a rep. Yes I saw it yesterday at Shaw theatres IMAX at Jewel Singapore.

The bracelet, though its long, fits my 7" wrist well.

Saw the film last night....he’s easily the best modern Bond but is showing his age now. Even my missus said, it’s a bit awkward watching a grandad flirting with seemingly 20 something Ana da Armas (who looked stunning).

Without giving much away, I also thought the film dragged on a bit towards the end....when he has to take on a 1000 armed men as per standard for a Bond ending and you’re thinking, we all know the outcome, so hurry up to the chase.

Anyone notice the FAT caseback Q put on Bonds watch. Lol. Rep community would freak out at the departure from gen thickness

Yeah the fat caseback was an additional piece Q added onto his watch for the gadget to work. It was already seen in the Omega commercial for the watch actually....

It looks good on your wrist.
But wrist size is on the smaller side of 6 inches:unsure:

For the gen, it's price is 2X of the steel SMP 300 and yet housing the same movement. Guess most people won't find it justified for the huge price difference except for those die hard Bond fans

Are VSF V4 of this still being made/available with the whole crackdown situation?

You can forget about VSF at least for now. If they will ever come back I really have doubts that they can keep up with the quality they used to be considering the root deep raids happened in China

Tried to order a VSF v4 from trusty time - no joy although it’s still advertised. Ordered an ORF TI/SS instead, should have for the end of Oct…will report back when it arrives.

This is because they have to split the cake with the 007 Franchise since they’re using their logo/emphasizing in the film, they had to pay Daniel Craig for contributing with the design, and all the money they spent on the marketing campaign. Obviously the money has to come from the consumer comparing it to a regular SMP is not relevant.

I watched the film yesterday and loved it. Plus it really made me want the watch I'm unsure yet whether or not I'll bite the bullet and fork out for the Gen or not. Depends if high quality reps are still available. I can't imagine the gen holding value looking at past 007 values. I didn't like any of Craig's bonds until spectre. Brosnan was my childhood fave.

The Spectre Seamaster 300 is probably the only 007 Omega that has gained value over the years. A used one now cost more than it did at retail. Whether the No Time To Die watch would increase in value, only time will tell. But it isn't a limited edition like the Spectre one, so maybe that will play a part in increasing or decreasing in value over the coming years.
