from your opinion, realistically, how many versions of this watch can we expect? Especially considering it isnt a rolex. New strap down the line would be great, but outside of strap, can the watch it self make much more improvements? I ask bc i just might snag a V3 and maybe buy the strap if/when it comes out.

I personally don't think the watch itself is going to change anymore. It's already pretty accurate. Maybe the bezel action could be smoother, but other than that I can't see another version of the watch itself changing other than the strap.

So a v4 could maybe have an updated bracelet, it will definitely be more expensive, I would guess at least an additional $100usd.

I'm considering picking up just the SS bracelet because I need something more accurate than the v1/V2 mesh for my wedding in Sept. It would do for now then maybe go on a spectre or something once (if) the titanium one comes out. Timeline, honestly who knows.

Thank you! This is actually my wedding watch. I don't have the spectre yet. That's why I'm hoping to get the mesh bracelet before then! Either in SS or Ti. If anyone has one they are looking to get rid of, I'm willing to pay handsomely for it!

Congrats on the wedding. I’ve said this to guys thinking of doing the same before but isn’t there a nice gen watch in your budget you could buy for the big day?

I dunno, fake luxury goods and a wedding doesn’t seem right (in my mind anyway).

I've got nice Seikos that I've modded, and one is still on the table as a potential wear. But part of the reason I was even able to buy this watch is because I said it was going to be for the wedding ha!

Not trying to fool anyone on the day of. I know I'll never own the gen of this piece and I love it, even if it is a Rep, it's a special piece to me. And that's all I care about.

Although no mesh-expert by any means, to me the gen bracelet looks quite a few notches up from the rep that VSF now includes.
It will all depend on how costly it is to produce a titanium rep bracelet.
Surely they must have considered a titanium bracelet when setting up production of this watch to begin with.
But somehow they decided that this was not an option, most likely because of cost issues.
Considering how close to gen the watch itself is, the bracelet on offer now is a very sorry replica.
It would be great to see it replaced by a proper rep, but I'm not holding my breath.

Btw, is this watch available without the bracelet, just the nato?

The rep will come with both the nato and mesh.

Its a very nice rep, talking of opinions, I found it a little underwhelming. Compared to the regular sea-master divers. I’d probably not hang on for the Ti bracelet if no one knows exactly when it’s available. Its been said when it’s available it’ll be for purchase singularly anyway.
