Just to make it clear, the caseback engraving is the same between the V2 and V3. No differences there. Gold balance wheel as far as I know is only the V3. V2 balance wheel should be black. Then again doesn't really matter as its a closed caseback.

Mine is V2. Gold balance wheel. But luckily no one else will know!

Would servicing this movement be easy? As it might be abit complicated judging that it is a eta2824 decorated as a 8800

Hi my is v3 and act the same I’m consider to change it to eta 2824 or Sellita sw200 but I look for more info about the hands high.

NOOB here. Is the degree of misalignment between the bezel and hour markers deemed acceptable? I notice that even the gen has the same issue on a few of the hour markers.

This is what my last post refers to.

Angle of the camera as well as the tall domed crystal can make it look misaligned in some photos. But trust me in the flesh, its very aligned with the dial markings. You should be more concerned about the misalignment of the bezel insert with the scalloped edges of the bezel on some of the reps. I had to reject my first set of qc pics due to a misaligned bezel insert that was way off with the scalloped edges.

Agreed, that is not misalignment.

The misalignment that bothers me is between the markings on the bezel insert and the scallop edge of the bezel. Above you can see the Rep bezel inlay is a few degrees too far clockwise vs the oscilating bezel edge

Just reposting this. Was hoping for a little help

Hey guys,

Total noob to this board. Been lurking and tracking this thread for sometime watching the progress of this piece since I am absolutely in love with it. Couple questions I had for the pro's/veterans here.

1. I know there has been alot of hope for a straight 1:1 of the bracelet made in titanium, but there hasn't really been full on confirmation that will happen. Do you think besides the fact that V3 has a SS bracelet that everything else on it looks primo and I should just buy the V3? To my eye, the bracelet looks pretty good design wise outside of being SS. Thoughts?

2. I ordered an Omega Planet Ocean a little while ago through Jtime, but seems alot of people on here like Andrew at TT, was just looking for some insight on that.

3. Lastly, it sounds like if I just pulled the trigger on the v3, IF a better bracelet comes out, I might be able to purchase that by itself?

Would really appreciate the insight, as I don't know much about the rep world outside some basics.

Been fun tracking this thread.

Thanks in advance and hope everyone is staying safe.

Hey hey, im not an expert by any means, but I can certainly help where I can.

In regards to question 1 and 3, if factories do end up being able to rep the titanium bracelet down the line, it would almost certainly be made available to buy seperately. We can already buy the rubber straps and ss bracelets separately, no reason to think it would be any different here. If you look back a few pages, youll see a great Gen v. Rep comparison with the v2, which really shows how close the v2 is to gen. The v3 has a little bit bolder markings on the bezel, but they are a little closer to the edge than gen, so both v2 and v3 have their "tells," but again, if you look back at the gen v. rep comparison, you can see how small those tells are. If I was gonna buy today, id look for a deal on a used V2, and use those savings towards buying an updated Ti bracelet down the line.

You will get stellar service from both Jtime and TT. Everyone has their personal preferences, but they are both A+ TD"s.

1) "Some" say this summer, others don't know.
2) You can read the TD reviews, there are plenty of them. Both are TDs, either everthing was OK for you with jtime, and trust is won, or you can try another one, according to the reviews.
3) I saw many people buying bracelet alone from TD's, so it should be possible for this one; generally, the price is not cheap. A TD wanted about 130-150USD for a SMP bracelet alone when I asked.

Seems like your questions are open ended and some have been answered going back in the thread.

Titanium bracelet was meant to be due sometime this month.

A lot of new guys like Andrew at trusty as he takes PayPal, he seems to be popular with the reddit generation & that’s normally why. he’s only just been welcomed back to this forum. Lots of good TDs here try a fre and see who you like

If you buy a v3 or not is entirely up to you no on can make that decision for you.

appreciate it. I guess my overall question was, besides the bracelet, can the watch itself get that much better in future versions.

Maybe the last thing they could do on just the watch itself, if correct spacing of the bezel markings. on the v2 the spacing is correct but its slightly less bold than gen, and on v3 the boldness is correct but they are too close to the bezel edge. These are honestly only gonna be noticeable in a direct rep to gen comparison, on the wrist, they are extremely close to gen
