I think the v3 isn’t far off gen?

Accepted its hard to say from pictures but less of a tell than on the v2. In fairness (and not just saying this as I currently have a v2) I actually prefer the thinner numbers on the bezel as the thicker the bezel numbers the more the watch looks like a bit of a toy watch, imho.

So I can’t believe Mr burgundy ‘S v2 hasn’t sold yet. The guy bought this as a service to us on this community to do a side by side for which we are all grateful. He shouldn’t be out of pocket as a result.

I propose as a gesture of good will that we do something to pay back for this service.

I’d just happily send the guy let’s say $20 and I’m sure many others would ....but if he agrees we could make it more fun.

How about a raffle where each of us sticks in a donation to Mr burgundy , when he has his $400 usd then he chooses a winner at random?

I’d say $20 per ticket. 20 tickets up for sale. Giving A 1/20 chance of winning a brand new v2 Seamaster 007?

Just a thought for discussion....

I think it would be best to start a separate new thread for this (once admins approve) to keep a tally of everyone who wants to enter

This is what you get from ali.com for 89$

as for sealing food from people it took ali.com 2 hours to decide to give me 50% back i did not expect that much but who would not then take it

as for the uk not being in the EU ( im welsh and not german ) i have not heard that the germans are doing custom checks on post from the uk but i will check up on it

I chose TT because 500$ is a lot of money to some of us and i think i did the best option for me getting the watch ( with out any custom proplems )

My sugestion is, if the “bord” of rwi agrees with the raffle, that MrB should check in which countries he can ship the prize due to curent situation since this was an issue regarding the sale.
And then members from that countries to buy tickets....

Hey guys,

Total noob to this board. Been lurking and tracking this thread for sometime watching the progress of this piece since I am absolutely in love with it. Couple questions I had for the pro's/veterans here.

1. I know there has been alot of hope for a straight 1:1 of the bracelet made in titanium, but there hasn't really been full on confirmation that will happen. Do you think besides the fact that V3 has a SS bracelet that everything else on it looks primo and I should just buy the V3? To my eye, the bracelet looks pretty good design wise outside of being SS. Thoughts?

2. I ordered an Omega Planet Ocean a little while ago through Jtime, but seems alot of people on here like Andrew at TT, was just looking for some insight on that.

3. Lastly, it sounds like if I just pulled the trigger on the v3, IF a better bracelet comes out, I might be able to purchase that by itself?

Would really appreciate the insight, as I don't know much about the rep world outside some basics.

Been fun tracking this thread.

Thanks in advance and hope everyone is staying safe.

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the 2824 asian movement (Asian 2824 automatic movement decorated to Omega 8800 movement, black balance wheel). I have such a movement in my VSF OMEGA seamaster 300m V2 and it is losing about 20 seconds per day when I'm wearing the watch. If I leave the watch at rest (on its side) it stays within a few seconds of real time or even runs a bit too fast. Is this phenomenon normal or does it mean that my movement is damaged? How are yours? Did I just get a bad number? Any suggestions? Is the movement in this "No time to die" VSF V3 watch similar with similar issues?

Thank you for the help
Cheers,

For sure that's an issue with your movement. Get it to some watchmaker or helping member to try to fix it.
the movement in V3 is the same. I only read that in V3 they forgot the black balance wheel again and it is golden again. But not sure if its true and even if, with the closed caseback, doesn't really matter that much anyways.
the Versions only differ by the bezel, caseback engraving and the strap, if I'm not mistaken.

What’s the caseback engraving difference between v2 and 3. Mines a v3 with gold balance wheel.

Just to make it clear, the caseback engraving is the same between the V2 and V3. No differences there. Gold balance wheel as far as I know is only the V3. V2 balance wheel should be black. Then again doesn't really matter as its a closed caseback.

Would servicing this movement be easy? As it might be abit complicated judging that it is a eta2824 decorated as a 8800
