Why is this called a v9? Are we up to that iteration already for the SD43 with Noob? I dont think we are.

Or is it just to bring it inline with the sub?

The beveled edges of the dials date window look much better on the noob and the crown guards also look much closer to gen.

The bezel numbers on the ARF are too close to the inside of the bezel, adding these things together the noobs looks better to me. I own the v2 ARF and I just can’t get over the issues I mentioned above that Are an instant tell

No such thing as a clone 3235 so save your money. It’s just a decorated 2836!!!!!

I’m confused, the noob is listed as an SA3135 clone but looks like a 3235. In the video review the noob hands and crown rotate in the same direction as a 3135 and the ARF ETA rotates the other way like a gen 3235. I’m guessing noob gave the SA3135 a face lift to look like the 3235?.

Now the question is which watch has closer to gen stem & crown hight? the 2824 should be the same as a 3135. But the noob case looks slightly higher than the ARF.

I’m not sure of the similarities between ETA’s stem hight compared to the 3235 but if the 3235 is the same hight as the 3135 then the 2836 versions crown hight will be slightly lower and not gen like.

ARF SD43 is still one of the best ootb reps. It‘s very very close to gen.

Look at this Noob watch: Dancing letters on the rehaut engraving. And imop the crystal is sitting a tad too high. And I doubt Noob comes even close to ARF‘s black hole effect. Nor it will be same glass quality.
And the clasp and bracelet of the ARF is very very good. Hard to beat. I don‘t believe Noob does. And I can say my own ARF SD43 has got so precise endlinks without any visible gap or play.

On to the movements: ARF uses the reliable and proven eta2824 clone. And you know the gen has got the new 3235 inside which has got the same hands setting direction like eta.

So no need for this shitty SA3135 in the noob.

Hi, it looks you know what you are talking about, can you help me find any good GMT II black out there? I mean as good in quality as the ARF SEADWELLER 126600 which is the closest to the genuine.
Thnx :)

The best would be if any one has the latest versions of both Noob and ARF and can post them side by side and then each one can decide what suits them better. Some guys want to wear without any mods and are looking for what looks best OOTB. While others are interested in modding and looking for something which can take gen/other replacement parts. Each to his own.

I'm very tempted to buy a ref.126600 SD and I came across this thread and even if a great deal of water has flowed under the bridge it still remains a very interesting discussion .

Thank you

I have the noob and it's outstanding. At one point I got the arf too and I had them both at the same time and ultimately I had to let one go so I sold the arf.

There are a lot of very subtle differences between the arf and noob and in my opinion, noob did a much better job on many little details that were important to me.

It was weird because some of them didn't even show up in pics.

Like if you see a gen sea dweeler, the dial looks pale or flat in color. Noob replicated the dial perfectly and when you see it with the naked eye, you can see it.

While the arf had like a more glossy dial. I took pics of the arf and noob and you could see a slight color difference but not enough that you'd recognize this detail unless you Went looking for it. There were a lot of little thibgs like that. Also the datewheel is better on the noob and the red lettering is kore accurate on the noob. The angle of the rehaut was just slightly better on the noob.

I don't know if these details are still consistent but I love the noob. I have actually been thinking about selling it because I just ordered a few new watches. I just can't bring myself to do it. Lol

Absolutely. What would you like?

Let me see if I can find those old ones I took of the two compared. Otherwise I'll snap some of the noob in a few.

Yeah I was going to mention that. That I thought mine was what they called a V3 (maybe a v2).

Noob came out with the seas dweller like in 2017 when Rolex released it. And then they updated it and it was called a V2 and then a V3. I believe the same was happening with Daytonas.

But the submariner at the time was a V9 and V10. So rather than have a submariner on a V10 and Daytona on a V5 and a sea dweller on a V3, they used the V10 and V11 of the submariner to just represent when it was made within the noob factory.

If you ask me it is actually easier that way so it's more a measure of the factory and not that particular watch.

Anyway, I dug up a few of the pics I had taken arf vs noob. It looks like noob is set to the 26th while arf is set to 25.

These are from last year and I do not have the arf anymore. If you want to see more of the noob, let me know.

I had placed an order for the ARF V3 about a fortnight ago with my TD. He recently informed me that they aren’t available anymore with the factory and they might assemble some more in a few weeks. The TD has fulfilled a couple of my previous orders so I have no reason to not believe him. Just wanted to check if anyone has recently placed an order and received the watch?
