Quick question guys. Which arf model are you referring to all the time? The arf 12660 v2 with a 2824 movement, or the 116660 arf v2 with sh3235 movement?

Thanks

Funny how everyone says the ARF is king on the 126600 yet the sales forum has been flooded with ARF sd43’s...

Yes it would fit. The crystal is gen spec like Arf and gen. here’s my Noob V2 with gen crystal.

Am on the fence ordering the Noob SD43, thing holding me back is the clowdy date window as mentioned here.

Where would one buy a gen crystal if required?

Chrono24, Fleabay, what other sources are there?

I have no experience with buying gen parts.

Walking into AD will not work I guess. :p

Prof crystal is option B, I guess. Ordering from him should be no problem.

Just like to understand the gen crystal route......to have that option at least.

After spending the last 3 hours reading the forums about different sea dwellers, 16600, 116600, 126600... I still have no idea which version from which factory to buy. My head is spinning my friends.

ARF, the date on mine is perfect, the bezel is now perfect and the bracelet is perfect.

freediver Sorry to keep bugging you, this is the ARF 126600 V3?

I know the ARF is the A2824 movement and the NOOB is the A2836, is there really any difference in reliability?

I think after reading everyone's thought I'm leaning towards the ARF..

2824 and 2836 are bot very reliable. But the 2836 date change is instantly. 2824 flips in a different way. A bit slower.
Both movements are proven to death and can easyly be swapped for a gen eta.

Here's a video comparing the ARF and Noob:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wb6fUq7SN8

The review is not as detailed as we get on this forum, but it seems both watches have their pros and cons. Interestingly, this reviewer likes the Noob pearl better, which differs from the comments in this thread. In the video I don't see evidence of the "cloudy" cyclops on the Noob that was mentioned in this thread. From the pictures I've seen, the rehaut on the Noob is better aligned, and the Noob dial and markers (color and supposedly rounded edges) seems slightly better. The Noob seems to have a slightly better bezel, but the ARF bezel has a better feel when turned. The Noob crystal sits too high,

From a casual glance at the watches when worn on the wrist, I think it would be very hard to tell them apart.

The only thing I don't like about Noobs in general is their hour markers are often shock white, so bright white they dont look real. Shame because I like Noob a lot.

Really? Both the youtube comparison video above and post #26 in this thread note that the Noob markers are more creamy in color than ARF, which may be closer to gen.

The dial markers themselves are thicker and rounded on the noob version and shinier, giving them a richer look. The noob lume was a creamy color , towards bone. Which is closer to gen.

Looking at the video, it's hard to tell, and impossible to tell from the dealers' over-exposed pics. You probably can't go wrong either way, but for ~$500 it'd be nice to get some consensus on the pro's and con's. For me, the question about the Noob pearl is the only thing holding me back. I've had reps with bad pearls before, and it's a hard thing to overlook. But the dude in the youtube comparison video seems to think the Noob pearl is just fine.

Yes sure buy which you want anyways you are still buying a rep and not a gen I hope you will be happy with your purchase
Have a Nice Day

Yes I know I am buying a rep... why would you even say this?
Second I just want to be informed by people who are more knowledgable than myself.
Also there is an ARF v3 apparently and now that is in the mix. We are all here to talk about what is available and learn about our hobby.
