Hi All - Just registered today and looking forward to being part of this community. I've always been obsessed with watches for some reason, since I was very small.....right back to my first musical casio (don't laugh!), then my first 'pop swatch' (which I thought was the coolest thing ever!), and then an Armani when I got my first proper job as a teenager. Aside from an old rolled gold Hunter pocket watch that has been passed down to me from my great grandfather, I don't have any decent brand watches and I'm determined for that to change over the coming years, hence wanting to join a community like this one! Replicas are my financial limit, but the happiness I hope to get from them certainly won't be limited!

Hi Wayne, I went with Andrew at TD and finally decided on the milsub. the model number at TD is
RVIN023A (with asia eta2836 and NATO strap). Since I was in the US Navy and served on the submarine shown (USS John C. Calhoun SSBN630) for most of the 1980's (the good ole cold war days), I wanted a "submariner" watch and figure that was a good one to start with.
Plus , I will actually purchase a used genuine submariner in the near future, so thought that I would get a rep of a sub that is almost impossible to find an genuine one (like the the milsub) to avoid redundancy and i really don't care if anyone recognizes it as a rep (my reply might be something like "yep, this sub watch is a rep - but the sub I served on was real."

Ahh the musical casio. I got the calculator casio watch in 1983 and wore it about the submarine !
