Anyone saying that the case back doesn't matter is doing all of us a disservice. While I agree, if a watch has a flaw I would prefer it be on the back does not relieve responsibility for the manufacturer to skip on accuracy. I really dont feel it is not too much to ask for. Rolex guys on this forum can agree as they have some of the most discerning eyes.

If you think about it, dismissing an inaccurate case back or any other detail for that matter on a watch that is stated a 1:1 is hurting our hobby. It dilutes the meaning of 1:1 and only gives reason for makers to produce more versions in which, everyone will buy to get the next small change. These people aren't fools.

Will I buy this watch and be happy with it? Damn right, but I don't apologize for requesting a nicer case back.

Cheers!

I can't believe the amount of people ramming the case back down Angus' throat right now. YOU BUNCH OF PERFECTIONIST SAVAGES!

The rep looks damn good to me, I will probably be in on this, and I don't plan on wearing it inside out, so I could care less for the case back.

Everyone should be taking some time to thank Angus for the level of involvement he has shown on this thread to answer almost every single question!

Kudos to you Angus! Very well done!

Havent got the reply from the maker yet regarding the caseback engravings, the maker will definitely do it if it is possible to do that, this is quite similar to the caseback serial number engraving of the PAM111N.
I promise I will try my best to make it happen but I cannot guarantee at the moment :)

I have checked a number of imaged and I agree the rep caseback engraving is not as deep as the gen, but I also noticed the gen caseback is not that deeply engraved. Of course it is good if we can improve this, otherwise it is still a nice rep to me :)

Thanks buddy for your words :) Every rep has its "flaws" and this is inevitable or we can call it a gen. Just hope the flaws can be as minor as possible :)

Fully agree! If 9 out of 10 of my future customers tell me the same thing I would take that into my consideration and try to handle that problem. Would mean I will sell 1000 instead of 200 maybe. The sub guys here are discussing more than minor flaws here on their "what is the really super sub". So if I have a chance as a producer to improve my common product in a way that possible consumers would like it more, why shouldn´t I try?

The price looks reasonable! Where did you hear about the price?

I reached out to a contact, to ask him to help us with pricing on a new release which was unset.

I sent the pics/vid/specs to my watch designer friend in HK. We proceeded to add up the cost of all parts, added up something for the maker, something for you :), and that is the estimate.

He has been very close to accurate before with 2 other releases like the V3 Diver, I'm confident it'll be +/- $10 of $368.

Of course and I sent countless messages to the noob maker every day asking them to fix this and that, from their chief watch smith, production manager, sales manager, even to Mr. Creme de la Creme himself. What I can say is I have dont my part, and I believe they will correct it if they can, unless they have had all the caseback engraved already.

Thanks Angus and is the plan still to release the BP FF in 2/3 months time? If the JLC comes out this month it should be possible right?

I am not very sure about the timeline as the maker has not updated me on the BPFF for some time, I will ask them when next time I meet them :)
