It has been an interesting year for us Pam lovers indeed with so much good things popping out in the Pam scene. New cases, new dials and so on. However one thing that still bugs me, factories are recycling their parts and that makes it difficult to know what exactly is in their plan. Studying some qc pictures from several forums and also feedback from fellow members, it seems that not only H Factory but NOOB and KW have their own arsenal of best cases but assembled randomly on their luminor models. I would say KW has a better consistency but H-Fac and Noob, a little unpredictable.

After further discussing with ALE, (well, we all need the opinion of the Pam god :whistling:) we think its beneficial to start a thread where pictures of only the latest Luminor 44mm models (from any factory) can be shared. It will be great if the pictures can clearly depict vital parts of the watch (like lugs, cg, dial etc). Please do state the factory/model of your watch along with the pics. QC pictures can be posted but i shall wait for ALE to officially allow that. This way, we will know what is brewing within the three factories and get a better understanding of the new generation of Pams.

Mod NOTE:

This thread was a good idea from kampachi and we decided starting it (by himself) allowing QC pics (even they will be welcome)
Of course, this will be an informative thread and I would like avoid personal problems with dealers or other matters leaving aside casesets and crystals

We all need to know the new generation of casessets and the evolution of makers introducing the new parts. Unfortunately, as said by kampachi, they are mixing old an new parts in the currant production and that makes more difficult to make good decisions
We will try by this thread to get useful conclusions about this matter

Please indicate the date of purchase and the maker of the reps which you are commenting and publishing pics.

The success of this thread depends on you all and your information.

Thanks in advance
ALE

Thanks Ale. Hope more people will provide info instead of being silent readers ;)

I hope the same !!

Usually people like to get info but sometimes are a bit reluctant posting pics and info
Please think about this info can be useful for we all !! ... and other info could be useful for you !!
Be helpful and participate ! This is the purpose of the forum !!

Does this only apply to the 44mm cases? I was planning on picking up a 005 or 000 in the next few weeks

Well, most of the super rep luminors are usually 44mm and 000/005 is a 44mm too :)

@kulubot @Farishmy Nice and thanks for the pictures. Looks like its H-Factory craze lately.. Noobs are getting rare lol. Do note that they are randomly using new cases too.

Thanks friends for the pics
The bezels on H maker PAM 112 and 114 seem more accurate than first bezels of new H cases.
They seem to have less high base and less sharp transition edge. Or.. is it just me??

The quality and finishing on these new H fact caseset are getting scary good. Time to upgrade from my old Noob 111 V3 perhaps?

Bear in mind that Noob V3 is already an "old" case, we should make comparisons with the Noob V4 case currently fitting Noob PAM 390
In the near future Noob will finish the stock of V3 cases and we could expect New Noob V4 cases in all models

Expensive and indecisive year I think

Whoops, I always thought they were 42mm

EDIT:

Never mind! I've just realized it's the 44mm case I am looking for. I was getting them confused with another brand I think. It's the 47mm watches I am trying to avoid!

I do hope the demand doesn't raise the prices!

To be honest(and being anal), it's quite easy to spot a hfac case. Though the case seems like it has better finishing but it's quite different compared to a gen. Some maybe fine with it but once you have handled a gen Pam, you will notice the difference in finishing and look. I still stand by my decision that v4 Noob is the most accurate case at the moment. However, considering the price of these hfacs, it seems good enough for me.
