I thought I would get one of these 605s immediately when the dial became 'good enough' and if the price was right. Based on all the comments it seems that indeed this watch is quite a good replica if you're not considering the aesthetics of the movement. And at $209 - $228, the price is not off-putting.

I find I'm still holding off for two reasons -
47mm size - this is a personal hurdle given the size of my wrist
Plexi crystal - this is my main concern. I love the fact that my sapphire crystals never scratch (except frustratingly the one on my Planet Ocean) regardless of how many scratches the watch otherwise accumulates. I wonder if I will soon be annoyed with the scratches on the plexi of this watch.

What are other's experiences with plexi vs. sapphire over time?
Is it conceivable that future versions of this model would eventually end up with a sapphire crystal?
Is it confirmed that the gen actually has plexi as well?

I have a couple of vintage Swiss watches from the 60-70s with plexi. Plexi provides a 'warmth' when looked at that you'll never experience with sapphire. Plexi is what original Panerai watches came with.
Scratches can easily be buffed out using toothpaste, Polywatch and other products.
The gen, in essence a 372 with a few aesthetic differences, comes with plexi. While the gen 372 comes with a second (replacement) plexi dome, I don't know if the 605 does too (Evora could confirm that for us). I doubt future versions of this model will end up with a sapphire crystal. That is unless they change it on the 372, which has been speculated several times, but mostly likely will never happen (per boutique managers in U.S. and Switzerland).
It is possible that a future version of the rep could come with sapphire, just like the 372 and 604, but don't quote me on that and don't hold your breath.

Looks great, especially #3... the've done quite a good job.
But why not a better decoration on the movement?
This will be my next one :)

My wrist is only 6.25" and I am comfortable wearing the PAM372 which is the same as the PAM605 save for the dial. I will probably get one of this, unless the SC version comes out when I am about to order. :D

Yeah, I'm grabbing one of these this week. Don't care about the SC. Might need to swap the 372 for a 587 then.

I think KW / v& made a home run on this! Dial looks very nice. The engravings however could use a bit of work. But from where I stand, this is the kind of watch I'd be willing to buy for it's price which in fact I just ordered :)

Best Combo would be like this:
KW Dial
Noob Engraving which is superior over KW
Noob Case
Noob/Pure Time SC movement.

Hands down.

The odds of that happening anytime soon is almost impossible imho. We have seen at least a few years / tries till we had a pretty good combo like you have mentioned for 372; ZF one; SC Movement + Noob Dial and case wasn't perfect but acceptable enough to be better than most out of stock.

The way factories / makers see is, this looks pretty good cosmetically and for price point they don't want to bother dealing with us; the detailed guys who would be willing to buy premium for the better one. They are looking for Quantity for than quality really. Back in the day, it was vice versa.

And i thought the KW127 is the last PAM for me for a long time. That was wrong, the 605 looks too good
