Lovely mate, congrats!

I'm about to pull the trigger and I'd kindly ask for a definitive answer - does the 904L watch look in any way different than the 316L? Has anyone held them side by side? I have an option of getting the 316L version and it's 60$ less, which to me is not that terribly cheaper. Is 904L brighter, whiter, more shiny, anything? Or do you guys think it's a marketing ploy? I couldn't care less for more corrosion resistance, as my watches ( rep or gen ) never go anywhere near water. Plus I'm rotating my collection, so I wear a certain watch maybe 3 times a month.
I'm not a lazy f@#k asking to be spoon fed, I've read the thread twice and I'm still not absolutely sure what to think.

Idk, sometimes i do find the 904L a bit brighter / whiter based on the photos shared. As you said, $60 less is not terribly cheaper, and I agree. I did pay that extra amount for the 904L for some peace and never have to entertain the thought of "what if 904L does have a difference with 316L".

there was actually a thread comparing the “different” kind of steel. I might dig that out later and share. it was a somewhat chemical comparison

OK, cheers guys. I've read tons of threads on WUS and other forums and now I kinda think they look the same. 904L did seem lighter in color in some comparison pics, but it's also more prone to scratches, so I think 316L it is., especially if this is the only difference from the previous version ( apart from the movement, of course).

FYI i ordered the BP 904 knowing full well there was going to be no difference but i figured it may be easier to sell down the track.

That's a good point too, especially for a serial flipper like me. People always seem to want the latest and the greatest.

Once you swap out the movement, the backwards winding issue be fixed, would it not?

The BP is the best out of box? Is that the consensus?

How? You don't swap it for a Rolex movement, but the Swiss 2824. Which works exactly the same as its Asian counterpart.

I really don't see any point in this winding direction debate? When in the actual f@#k will you be winding your watch in front of people who know the difference/ give a damn? And even then? I'd tell them to f@#k off and take their snobbish stuck up ass with them.

It was more a question about convenience, all my watches wind clockwise.. except it seems, this one.

Maybe I have OCD or something,

It's like wanting to buy the Tudor Pelagos LHD... I like it but the winding stem is on the left.. I wonder if I could just buy the dial.

Anyway I was just asking, thanks Therion666

I know mate, I have just answered. In my own way, but now you know. This watch does wind clockwise, gen Rolex is the other way around.

I have a specific QC question. Is the number 3 tilted or am I seeing things?

It does seem slightly askew anti-clockwise and positioned slightly lower compared to the 9 But I think it's fine because it's really the entire watch rotated this way. So the photo shows the right half being lower and "rotated" anticlockwise. If you measure up the lines it is pretty spot on. It only looks a bit tricky because the photo is nearly a direct shot but the watch isn't placed level with the frame.

hello, I ask the technicians, but does the Bp dial fit on Explorer Noob 2824? and is the BP dial for sale?

I think you're right, it does seem fine. Thank you for your effort, I appreciate it :)

You're welcome! I thought it was too until I realised tilting my head a little to offset the photo's tilt makes it seem fine. Hope it is!

Is that the BP model? I'm looking to get one in 316L from JTime. Pretty new to reps and only got the Noob V3 116500 Daytona so far but hoping the build quality of everything with the BP Explorer is a bit better. I know we just pay for the movement with the Noob. Anyway good luck with this watch!
