Me and my private moder have worked with a few factories trying to make the best 5712 as possible. After a lot of testing , we have came up with a new pinon modification technique and a beautiful movement engraving.
As we have seen there are other parts of the watch other then the dial that needs a upgrade.
One of the biggest tell we see is the pinon. On the market there are 2 ways of pinon upgrade, such as the pinon cap cover and a steel ball mod. Both of these actually glued a cover on top of the stock pinon to make it looks closer. BUT they look too big ,and the height is too high . This flaw is an instant tell its fake .
Me and my moder have came up with a true Gen spec pinon mod, that we actually replace all 3 pinon. Custom made that the size and the height perfect.
On GEN , you can see the inner circle of the minute hand, the pinon is small and only filling the hole of the hour hand. Compare to the cap modification is big and cover the whole hole.
For subdial hands , GEN pinon should also have a silver ring surround the pinon.
Color of pinon, many have said it should be one silver two gold, BUT year 2021-2023 GEN updated to all 3 silver pinon

Alot of time when we get engraved movements the printing are smudge and the gold plating runs out of the letter. By this non perfect engraving, IMO it looks even more fake then stock non engraved.
