Agree buddy!Was the Datejust in your first picture (not the CF) using gen Xtal?

The CF will get Gen crystal once it arrives, and that’s probably it. Might spring for gen bezel too.

Thanks buddy. I just got my cF v2 Datejust inhand today and I am quite dissapointed. It is still miles behind VSF Xtal imo. Upgrade to Gen/Deep/Prof Crystal is much needed for this great watch

Yeah, I plan on gen crystal only. My ARF SD43 has the best crystal I’ve seen on a rep, and my DJ41 in the pic above (JDF) was really good. So I can only go up, and if the CF crystal sucks, it’s going Gen.

Also, as an aside, polishing the exterior of the crystal may make you happier with it. I notice I’m able to get most rep crystals looking really clear and crisp with just the right edge brilliance by polishing the hell out of it, and sometimes ceramic coating them. (Which I do on almost all of them)

Are you sure you got the v2 crystal? Some members here claims it's as good or almost as good as gen. Do you have some pictures?

The crystal is ok. It reflect less than vsf/gen but the cyclops hue/bubble and halo effect is on point. Had both vsf and v2 cf. So sad they dont use only v2 hands :(

Yes it is the v2 Crystal, I had v1 inhand also.

I mean its good thats for sure. Generally the Clean DJ is great. BUT imo especially the crystal is definitaly not as good as VSF. Especially considering VSF Xtal has now no distortion on the edges anymore like in the past.

What I noticed as biggest difference is AR coating which is less on CF.

Just posted a comparison pic above. Agree the v2 xtal is good but if you know VSF Xtal its not on pair

Hey Guys,

Saw that there was some discussion on the mint green 41. I just got my QC pics. Have a look and let me know what y'all think. Idk if I should GL this or ask for a swap to blue instead. Green looks darker than gen but apart from that it looks relatively close.

also the light is there kinda doomy, need day light pictures

Yeah the only way to get that view it is to actually buy it. There was an album link just a page or two earlier in this thread comparing the gen and CF dials. It looks almost the same at least to me.

Thats why when I got my QC pics it looked very different so I thought to seek some opinions here. Will report back when i get it!

I just received my DJ41 CF on the silver dial. The clasp is very flimsy and wobbly, it gives a relatively cheap feel, crystal is okay. At the same time, cyclops lacks clarity, and AR is almost inexistent. The bracelet is fine and feels well after a baby oil bath. Overall, the watch looks classy and wearable, I will be changing to the leather strap as soon as the weather allows.
