I can confirm this as I tried using ketchup on my BBB v4 and I actually obtained a darker patina
Managed to clean it up pretty well using baking soda + lemon paste but still not perfect. Doesn't cape cod cloth ruin the brushed finish?
I use capecod. If you don't go too hard with it, it will not damage the brushed effect. Go small and light.
I use it to "control" the patina. I don't want a frest new watch. just remove darker spot and highlight the lugs. It works for me.
