There’s a lot of info here on Rwi, the A3131 or A3135 are notorious for unreliability. But it’s the first time I’ve actually had a movement fail like that and I’ve owned more than 50 rep watches.

Looks awesome. Your black coated Milgauss is my inspiration building one myself based on the ARF with the blue dial.

Has anyone experience with applying PVD coating. To what extent has the watch and especially the bracelet to be dismounted?!? It is clear that the crystal and the complete movement has to be removed. But what about the bracelet and the clasp? Any recommendations?

I’m pretty sure it depends on the price. I would bet these Blaken or Titan ones are down to each link and screw.

I would also mention that I looked into getting an ARF and having the dlc work done. It’s a bit of a process and don’t think it’s cheap either. The difference in price from a gen Milgauss and a dlc one is pretty significant.

There is a pretty big price difference on pure time between noob and arf.
What is the best choice then? Or any other factories which do the best hue on the blue dial?

Wow, where do people get gen parts? Just entering the hobby and would love to get a rep and upgrade to gen parts!

A friend of mine an I have both ordered the blue dial ARF Milgauss, mine is running like a champ but the one of my friend is showing some strange behavior. When the watch is kept stationary on a table it is doing fine, but as soon as you put it on the wrist and wear it it stops right away. The watch is currently at the watchsmith but he has not found something until know. Has anyone of the experienced members who have worked on movements observed something like this before? I know that the SH movements are not the most reliable but I have not made bad experience until know (owning an ARF Sub and GMT)...
