Just sold my Franken 26331st with a black GEN dial and I already miss it.
But this blue dial is a different story! I can’t stop taking pictures of it. I saw a GEN one at a store and the explosion burst of the dial is just amazing!!

The rep dial is great. So just imagine the Gen one.

Yeah. It’s growing on me too. Was initially upset that the 38m wasn’t going to be repped. But the 26331 is weird that it got stretched to 41mm on a 38mm caliber. The date placement is wrong. And if this was any other brand it would be ridiculed. But AP got away with it by putting a smaller watch in a bigger case that it shows.

That DW placement is downright ridiculous on the 26331, but would be hard to pick just one. Would you advise how they wear compared to each other? Or are they similar? How is the thickness compared to one another, as well as the bracelet thickness (since the newer one is slimmer)

Considering what you paid for the 26240, the choice is even more obvious.

Once you see it you can't go back, but at the end it is not so bad. Smaller dial also helps the watch seem not at large as the 26240.

26240 definitely felt bigger/thicker on wrist, but I like big boys. The 26331 never really made it for me, it’s a watch I like to have in my watch box but don’t find myself wearing it much.

As for price difference, can’t really speak on it since the 26240 is a pre-APS release super franken. I have yet to get the APS clone in hand but it looks promising from pictures.

26331 vs 26240

They are almost the watch except for minor difference with the dimensions. I personally prefer the dimensions of the 26331 more because it’s slimmer and just hugs your wrist making it more comfortable.

Regarding the dial it is a matter of preference.
I like both.

If I was given a choice between the bellow:

1. 26331 black dial
2. 26331 blue dial
3. 26240 blue dial

I would definitely go for the 26331 blue dial.

I actually had a GEN 26331st black dial and I remember sitting with @MFK100 in a hotel room and comparing the Franken (built by @legend) with it side by side. It was really amazing and very close to Gen. I instantly bought it and sold my Gen.
