Sizing in watches is all personal tasteJFTR, I dare to disagree, since 41mm is the size of the case, not the dial. Personally I own a whole bunch of watches in the range from 40mm up to 44mm and would still consider this 41mm watch average.![]()

Thank you for sharing.Tried on a genuine black ceramic and @legend you were right, it fits a lot better than expected on my near 7 inch wrist. Will get a steel one!
Included a mirror pic with tag removed

I have just received mine and I can't seem to remove the links to resize the bracelet. Was yours easy to do and how did you remove the pins in the links?

Seconded. Plus, I would recommend a really good tool to do so, not just hammer and nails.Check the previous page for better pictures, but just use a pusher and pop the pin out. No screws
Silly me!Check the previous page for better pictures, but just use a pusher and pop the pin out. No screws. It did take a lot more force than I expected. Actually broke one of my pushers on the first attempt .
Will you be doing an internal and external comparison? Would really like to know your thoughts on how the movements compare.Thank you for sharing.
There still exists notable differences between the gen and the rep. As mentioned I’ll be doing a comparison of my gen 26240CE and 26240ST with their rep counterparts when the reps reach me.
But like I’ve said many times, the rep is amazing for the price they are charging and highly suitable for anyone in the market for an AP Royal Oak but will not/cannot get the gen for whatever reason. For me no matter how close the rep comes close it’ll never be gen and the greatest tell is not necessary one which exists visually but this very knowledge which the owner will have each time he puts on the watch. If the wearer is ok with it, then it is a very good alternative to the gen, all things considered.
No sir I won’t be dismantling the gen movements as they are both under warranty. Will you be doing an internal and external comparison? Would really like to know your thoughts on how the movements compare.
Is there really another movement in the 38 mm?Honestly was just about to post asking the same. I will buy as soon as these are available, but I suspect this won’t be for a while because the movement is different in the 38mm chrono (plz correct me if I am wrong).
Yes, and it is not in houseIs there really another movement in the 38 mm?
Yes, thinner Frederic Piguet based one.Is there really another movement in the 38 mm?
"Movies" sounds promising though.I am going to write a review tomorrow incl sizing, measurements, movies and so on. I used to have a lot of
APs incl the first Franken builds. Stay tuned…..

FWIW I pressure tested an APSF 15400 that I got the other year and it passed 50m/5BAR with flying colors. Only take it off for intense water activities. Have swum in lakes, pools and salt water oceans.Has anyone done a pressure test yet? Never thought I would consider an AP but I just love this one. Water resistance is a must for me though I can't baby my watches
It uses a battery.Hello guys ,
For the happy new owners : is the watch really automatic ( and what is the real power reserve ) or do you have to wind it manually because the rotor is too light ?
Mine has a small fusion reactor. It's a nightmare disposing used fuel rods but you'll get a few good years out of it. No noise at all but I've lost all hair on my body and my teeth have started falling out. On the plus side my full body lume is bright. It uses a battery.
Do you think the superclone 4401 is a gateway to the creation of 4404 caliber in ROO?No sir I won’t be dismantling the gen movements as they are both under warranty.
But from what I see, the rep movements already look a lot rougher in the finishing from pics. I think this will be confirmed in real life.
One thing though: I haven’t seen a rep 26240 with the classic issue many gens have: that the subdial hand @9 would randomly tick a second or two to the right due to the hand brake not working like it should. This is a well known issue of the 4401 and 4404 calibers and AP has been silently rectifying this issue, with a lot of embarrassment as I can imagine.
So in this aspect the rep movement seems to be superior to the gen, though it may be simply because it’s something not seen in the rep clone caliber yet.
