New AP 26240 with 4401 Super Clone movement is coming

Any talk of APSF coming out with the ceramic/ti 26420 models with the silicone/fabric straps? The SS and ceramic bracelet models look fantastic, but I've been drooling over the more sporty, colorful models for years now and it looks like we're finally getting there.

Only had the blue for about 24 hours now, but between the two I think I like the green better. It's more unique and not offered in all the AP models. Don't get me wrong, the blue is also really nice looking too. All depends on what color shirt I have on that day

Had mine for 24 hours now. Sized it - needed to remove 2 links - this was annoying as I wanted to remove one link from each side but one of the pins was basically stuck so had to remove 2 links from one side and one from the other and then put one back to even it out. Mine is the one with the updated rotor and it is a beautiful watch, even the wife commented she liked it which is good. My only complaint is the rotor is a little noisy. I am unsure if a service will fix this or if it's even supposed to be noisy but it can be heard in a quiet room when moving your wrist. I will definitely be getting the ceramic when they figure out how to fix the bracelet.

Bracelet is a bit sharp and some of the pins are quite tight in the bracelet.

Otherwise like others have said, it's a marvel. Def want another one or two. Wouldnt be opposed to a 11.59 with this movement variant either.

I don't usually interject my opinion into others arguments, but here goes! Im my line of work, I routinely work with extremely wealthy international clients. I have noticed several trends over the past 5 or 6 years. First, ladies are wearing mens watches more than women's sizes. I see more DJ's and even some of the flashier Daytonas on women than on men. I have even seen women wearing Panarai. Men are also wearing watches that are definitely what we would have considered over sized a few years ago. They also tend to have them sized looser than I would be comfortable with. The trend with the ultra wealthy seems to be more understated and vintage watches, or Apple Watches. I rarely see any men wearing what I would consider a small watch, unless it is a vintage piece.
I get more comments on my Gen 1980's DJ, GMT Master, Submariner and Moonwatch, than on the Daytona's and fancier watches.
That's just my unsolicited observation, but it holds for clients from Asia, Europe, and the USA.

I’ve noticed this as well. The thing with the ultra wealthy especially. But guys like that don’t necessarily want to flash all the time and draw attention to themselves, that’s how you get noticed and can become a target for a variety of things unimaginable.

The loose bracelet thing I’ve noticed as well, and usually chalk it up in my own head as someone who’s wearing a watch bc of the name, and bc they can. I’ve talked to a few about this, and some didn’t even know that the watch is adjustable beyond the clasp. I had a couple girls tell me they like it that way bc a watch is “just an expensive bracelet” If I weren’t as polite I’d have given them an earful!!! lol

I went the way of Prof AR. Nothing even comes close to it. The beauty of the dial really shows off well. I don't even care that it's not gen-looking.

I... just don't trust any watch maker near me not to mangle the AP screws when changing glass, which would bug the SHIT out of me on the front face. I can live with the crystal on this, it's not bad by any stretch, but I would die seeing mangled screws everyday lol

I like Prof, I do, his crystals are great value but I just... don't like sending a whole ass watch to him.... I have been considering prof for a SD43 AR makeover which would pop the watch off.....

Ive sent whole ass watches to Prof. No issues but they will likely come back no longer water resistant due to the crystal change. Just something to be mindful of.

Also, purple dial not getting enough love here…
I still can’t put this thing down.
