Gentlemen, drvintage suggested this may be of interest to some...a somewhat different take on the drvintage 16000 Datejust case.

Gen Rolex crown

1016L 1st rendition T22 bezel
top flight Soprod Newton P092
Gleave T22 domed crystal
Markiemark Italian 78790 band
Marathon issue sterile Tritium dial
1.8mm high Cousins second hand
Fat 2mm springbars with pivots slightly tapered to fit the drvintage 1.1 mm springbar holes...they absolutely do not move or flop about.
Raffles 2mm endlinks...fit like a charm with no adjustment.

The Tritium dial I made up out of two old Marathon dials that I have owned for a number of years, it is probably worth noting that the movement holder/ring from the Raffles 34 mm case set fits this case just fine as the Marathon dial fits the drvintage dial seat like it was grown there.
















I will say flat out that I am extremely pleased with the drvintage midcase, and more than happy with my experience dealing with drvintage.

But for the icing on the cake...the watch looks like someone has modded a Datejust...showing just the right amount of disdain for Rolex branding.

A couple of the Tritium gas vials are somewhat old but are still readily visible to the eyes at night.




I have really missed the facility of seeing the time in the dark.
