In case anyone didn't know, the gen did not have an independent hour or GMT hand so if you're wearing your 6542 (or 1675) rep with a GMT hand offset, it's an instant tell.
GMT Movements Explained
It’s your and the OPs fault. It took me a year to pull the trigger though.

Sneak peak.. Li doesn’t have the regular dial so I am getting the Serpico, which is ok since I plan on changing it out with a Ruby dial at some point.

I don’t understand what do you mean with “hand offset”..
I know that this rep have the independent gmt hand (that is incorrect) but How other can see it , if they don’t unscrew the crown and set the gmt hand?
Thanks
Li told me the only one available is the Serpico until a new batch of regular dials come in next month.Serpico dial is no longer avaible
GMT offset means your GMT hand is set to any time other than local time. So if your local time is 10:00 and your GMT hand is NOT pointing to 10 or 22, I know your watch is fake.
I can spot that several feet away. Look how obvious it is in these two pics. (Credit Thefakemasterfanclub ) The whole idea behind a GMT Master is to visualize the GMT time. This had to be done using the bezel in earlier models but in the GMT Master II's with an independent hour hand you can set a GMT offset to the GMT hand. So if you live 5 timezones away from Greenwich England and it's 10:00AM Greenwich Mean Time, you can have your GMT hand point to 5 or 15 on the bezel without rotating it. The bezel then gives you the ability to observe a third time zone.

Lol, KJ, I think the biggest tell is the fact that you have a 6542 Bakelite on your wrist...rather than inside a vault.
But if you adjust the gmt hand that point the hour on the bezel = hand hour, like the gen the watch work exactly how if the gmt hand is not independent ..
(Maybe is possible remove some gear inside the movements so is it permanently not independent , I don’t know )
