I know and when you compare it to the genuine or vietnam build you can see slight gap on SELs thst cartel case is gonna be pain in the ass i think.

The watch is stock TS version, except dial and gen crown, with some modding.

Did you convert the moment in the end? Or do you have the hyper Beaty 2836 in there still?

Hey Ish, I brassed the stock bezel via ‘hillbilly plating’!
Heating the steel with a butane blowtorch and then brushing with a pure brass wire brush. Steel has a higher melting temp than brass, so if you heat it sufficiently the brass from the brush melts onto the surface of the steel.

It’s actually the stock xtal, during the rebuilding I found that the stock one has a better cyclops placement than the Clark’s.

For best results, secure the bezel ring between washers on a bolt

This will protect the top edge and prevent the heat from warping the ring, also makes it easier to handle.
Place it in a vise and blast it with a torch for 10 seconds or so and then brush.

Once you’ve got the whole ring plated you can swab it with some brass-black to antique it, then chuck it into a drill or grinder and spin it against a leather strop with some polishing compound to bring up a high shine on the teeth.

The insert must come out, and the insert is held in with a shite-ton of glue, so expect paint loss.
